  1. Try to minimize carpentry work unless there is a need to it. Of course the choice is up to individual. I had been using one of mine contractor for the past few years. If anyone need it do pm me for details.
  2. marble flooring will absorb cold and hot. so when marble generate heat there will be some water vapour therefore in long time runs guess u know what will happen.

  4. Remember that laminated flooring is only water resistant not water proof. So try to wipe away any liquid form immediately if possible and dry the area which is being affected. Without proper maintenance no matter how good is the quality the effects will still be out.

  6. Never never go for verbal promise which is not being list down black and white. Normally they will say that if i write down on invoice boss not happy or will say "You dont trust me?". Person in charge or bosses start to be boostful and start to let their salesman to give different pricing to different customers and charge even more expensive to the interior designers or other vendors whom are doing renovation. And this goes to the material and the product grade too. Automatically both grade will go down and customers will complain. Then sales personal or person in charge will be boostful and start to say if you want purchase a new door from us at a "discount rate" (which appear to me more expensive) or change the entire new door (meaning no longer using PD door). Due to many of us consumers will feel that change the entire new door will be very hassle. So consumers had no choice but to buy from them. This is some of the bad side of sales tactic. So likewise if no one purchase from them in a months time or so. Then they will be good and learn a lesson. This trend keep going round and round.

  14. they can match to the contrator quote. But some ID will play on the material's quality. From above average to average. So beware on this too. So before confirm an ID would be good to source around and ask more questions. Try to make the ID know that you are not a newbie in renovation in order not to chop you that much.

Are you ok with just plaster the hole will do? This goes to relocate water heater pipings. To dismantle W/C and basin that will required to hack away some of the surronding floor tiles and wall tiles. Do note that it you are using back the tiles will there still be stock available and also will the color be different? - Installation of w/c, basin, heater and accessories - to build /fabricate vanity cabinet with mirror on master toilet b) Common Toilet - Dismantle existing toilet accessories, w/c, basin - Installation of w/c, basin, heater and accessories - Relocate Water heater piping same as above c) Kitchen - fabricate bottom kitchen cabinet with granite top - Installation of kitchen accessories - Dismantle existing bottom kitchen cabinet. d) Living Hall - Replastering wall in the living hall - power point for fans in MBR By the way, do you think it is possible to change the kitchen cabinet door instead of replacing all of them because i found that the frames are still in good condition. If the kitchen cabinet is in good conditions you may just change the outter layer skin will do. Ensure that the hinge of every door are not rusty. For the concern as above 7K is indeed quite tight.

  18. you can try to go to courts or other big malls and seek advise. check on the electric consumption if you are particular about it.   19. well since you won't switch on all the 4 air-cons then would be good to get system 4. If you are getting a windown unit on it own, the consumption of electricity and the cost of the window unit will be more expensive. Sinces yours is 8000BTU in room then would be good to purchase system 4 inverter then. Also maintance wise they will count as system 4 rather then system 3 and 1 window unit. It will be more expensive. Hope you get what i mean.
  20. toilets it depends. As if it is a premium estates which already comes with WC / sink and others then the owner can choose not to buy it. But if the owner want to change then of course need to fork out cash to get it. Likewise if it does not comes with it then owner have to get it themselves. Would be good to call up the HDB and check with them. Or can go down to HDB hub and ask them directly.
