Hi bluezzz, Welcome to Renotalk. It is always wise to find out things from this forum before you confirm your reno. Mine is also EA & i spent about 40K only for the renovation...with about the same reno list as yours...my budget was also 25K, ID told me not possible since the spacing is bigger & required more tiles..carpentry work also costly.. But if you engage a contractor, may be cheaper...i guess !!

Hi crystalng, mine is resale EA..block 2++ is abt 13 years old s...2 lvl is mansionatte, EA only 1 floor with bigger space esp in the living & dining areas....but cleaning is tiring tough... .. I thought WIS hdb shld hav more young married couple neighbour bah...easier to click i supposed..my neighbour, most spouse not working one....stay home look after the kids...they quite friendly lor....just we dun hv time to talk to them since we are working most time & wkend busy doing housework....xiong le remember to post the pics since ur house design is nice nice... Check out some pic posted in the blog...have some comments if possible, we are still finding some creative accesseries for the decoration nerraw blog

Thanks for the comments haa..yeah in fact we prefer the house to be black/white/red, but think the ID is too decent la...haaa the red sofa is for contrast effect...or else the whole house is bit plain la....i got to slowly add some more painting, rugs, & accessaries... As for me, still need to monitor the leakage at the mbr aircon area...whenever heavy rain, the water will seep in & can see the water stain at the boxup near the window le... if no rain cannot trace d... Hi gothique, My block is along drive 3 facing the reserve park (forest), so most of the corners are unblocked, that is the main reason..& quite privacy...Mine is not near loyang point nearer to downtown east i guess. Look at your 3D quite impressive la...must be very nice & coosy when done... Below is some pics taken, I have not finished decorating, just do it whenever have the time....like wall-clock, painting for mbr & living hall. i cut lot of carpentary works as to save cost, so in fact look quite plain la....anyway, pls hv ur comments.... So how is your reno going on...? what is your quotation ? Started renovating already ? Hi Mr Chong, My house already finished renovated & i have lived in before CNY 07. I did not engage any FS master during renovation, but i try to avoid certain important FS things. I have a few questions, hope you can share with me some valuable advice. (1) In MBR, can the bed face direct to window (legs face windows position when sleeping) ? I have no other way but to face toilet door, but i did a partition in btw bed & toilet door to block it so that when we sleep, the legs wont face the toilet direct. Is this way ok to prevent "sa qhi" ? Master Bedroom Partition (2) I also hang a square mirror on the partition facing the toilet door, any problem with that ? [see the above image] (3) I am plaining to wall-mouth the LCD on the partition facing the bed also, any issue ? if yes, how can we handle it ? as I cannot find any better place to place the LCD ? Master Bedroom Partition - LCD (4) I hang a picture with black & white animal head in the MBR toilet ? Is this OK ? Rgs Nerraw

Hi gothique, i hav seen SK 5-room alos, the flat is full-length window, nice got balcony.....but smaller & the neighbour seem very close to each-other, so we decided to focus on pasir ris area ....as we like the natures green & beach...(ohhhh come to think of it .. long time nvr walk to pasir ris park..been lazy...) My EA is also old one abt 12 years old...the electiricity also nvr upgrade, so only 1 compressor is allowed & only settle brand is suitable due to limited power......I installed with Mitc Inverter System-4 as below specs, which for me is cold enuf, the hall on very powerful...now worry consume too much elec......bill is killing me..haaa MXY4A28VA 26,000 BTU - 1 Hall 13,000 BTU - 1 MBR 10,000 BTU - 2 Rooms

Hi Devilaz, Most the defects have been fixed, we went to the extend to request to re-plaster the both toilet wall as it was badly done up & re-paint agaub...& it is completed now....we paid for the btr quality of works rite...so they must done nice job for us la...Will take more pics when free not seems quite messy as we take our own sweet time to pack the things kee !! I am still mtg the ID on & off to fix the minor things la...How is ur place ? have you stayed in d ?? !!

Hi Diva79, Nice renovation done up by Cactus. My place also renovated by Cactus but my ID is a "he"...our concept also white & black & grey with Red sofa.....well we have moved in for abt 2 mths and try to find any defect.. BTW, kind of like the wall clock at your house....where did you buy that clock ? till now still have not found any clock that we like. Cheers Nerraw

I have been checking out the forum for my renovation since last year.....Anyway, i have been satying in PR for about 5 years d & still love the place....no doubt is bit far from town but look at other positive sides, is nice nice place cheers

Well, finally i have moved in to my house.....still hav not finish unpacking very messy hee....& no time to create the reno bog yet.....Still found some defects need to be fixed...like cabinets chips, laminte flooring chips...etc etc....
