  1. Hey prody, do you have a photo of your master bathroom in the day without the LED? Thanks.
  2. Managed to take some pics today. Same; using my iPhone, sorry I don't have my camera with me: Note the wall tiles used to be white with dirty grout and hairline cracks and some discolored tiles; the floor tiles used to be sky blue. I will try to remember to post name of paint.
  3. Completed toilet walls. Both toilets are the same paint and colors. The next thing to do is dress up the toilets with shelves, cabinets, lights, and some art!
  4. After varnishing the wooden tiles, wow! So shiny! Keelat keelat!! No really nicer but there's more protection now.
  5. Hi prody, absolutely like your new bed!!
  6. Kumsiah! Keep my fingers crossed next time when I want to sell can make a small profit and a bit of COV too? Heehee.. Hope only lah...
  7. Common toilet. Surprisingly, the painted walls turned out better than expected.
  8. Hi prody, Ya. That was long time ago. Really blessed to get this unit. Neighbors are good too. One uncle even help sweep the corridor of the whole floor every day!! only 4 units per floor. Total size is 104sqm. Now that I have knocked away the storeroom, the place feels bigger too.
  9. Applied the first coat Can see the cream color. Honestly I think it is too dark. Haiz.. Nvm la. Finish then say.
  10. Doing up the toilets!! Original toilet condition is terrible with cracked tile and holes. So instead, I am getting it painted by my Very reliable handyman. He is actually a painter so this is chicken feed to him. Bought 3 5 gallon epoxy paint; 1 undercoat, 1 cream, 1 dark grey. Along with hardener and brushes. Total cost is $192. Able to paint 2 toilets. This is basecoat primer done. He has also filled holes n scrap off old marks.
  11. Finally fixed up the lighting for the cocoa wall:
  12. Another update is shelves for the missus. Using ikea lack shelves, I created this:
  13. Hi Errandz. Yes. Work work work. Plus a small break with the family, then work work work again. Ha! Ok. Just small updates. On the floor. Got a handyman to help out to color the other floor. Here is how it looks: I have not varnished them yet. Too lazy. Haha.
  14. Hi nellynut, I guess it may be impractical for many. As we don't do a lot of heavy cooking, it is ok. For regular maintenance, it's just sweeping and mopping the wood tiles. For more serious maintenance, then we can remove the tiles, a 5 min job, mop the ceramic tiles below, and then fix back the wooden tiles. Peebbles can just vacuum or mop with cloth and soap. I plan to grout the gaps between the wooden tiles to prevent food/dirt from dropping underneath. Not done yet.
  15. Kitchen update III Finally after allowing the epoxy to cure, I've cleaned up and also removed loose pebbles and pebbles that "poke" the feet. Will do touchups later. Here's a closeup. The next step is to stain the wood. I prefer the dark wood look. So here's how it looks like after 1 coat of stain. The job is not completed but you can more or less see the difference. Cost $0 as the wood stain was leftovers from another previous project.
  16. Bought epoxy ahesive yesterday. Duraseal 640. Mixed it according to the the portion. I also bought 2 more bags of pebbles and small shovel. Total expenditure today, $136. According to proportion, the epoxy is suppose to mix 5 sqm. Here's a picture of after I have applied the pebbles.
  17. Kitchen updates II I have not varnished the wood due to work commitments and some family matters. However we have added pebble wash around the edging. I have not included the epoxy, just wanted to see how it looks like. I will diy the epoxy too. We like it. It's the way to go. Maybe we will add some LED as well. Thinking about it. Total, we have used 4 packs of 12 kg pebbles, cost $48. Will have to get 1 or 2 more packs to complete the project.
