Hi All, I would like to do suspended bottom cabinets for my kitchen but am getting conflicting advice from a couple of Renovation companies, even the well-known ones. Most advice to have 6" hollow blocks at the back of the cabinets as a "fulcrum" support, but one large ID simply insist that it is not needed, and that those who wants to do that simply do not have good carpenters. So who is right ? Has anyone been through this discussion? I tried to search but could not find anything. The thing is - I do not like the idea of having cement fixed permanently on the kitchen floor - in case we want to change layout later. Also suspended cabinets seems to look "nicer" - maybe subjective I do agree. Even the 6" hollow blocks suggested by a few of them are probably going to be cemented to the floor tiles and will need hacking later if we change the layout or concept. The other option is using legs and high pliths, but that is not suspended cabs then.. So hope to get some advice, especially from those who has install suspended cabinets. Thanks!
