I'm looking for round dinning table too, most of the designs are not very nice. And like what Wenx mentioned, most places don't like to bring in round dinning tables as its harder to sell, hence the higher markup (they do have to bring in minimum quantity, hence the markup due to item taking up more storage space and slower sales). Was at Hommage yesterday and saw one design which I might get due to the interesting leg design, it's the only clear glass design in the shop. But it probably might not fit your requirement of sitting 8-10 pax as its only 1.3m in diameter.

What Is Your Favourite Brand For Fridge? :)
navik replied to Renosotong's topic in Electronics & Electricals
For those who are interested, my neighborhood shop quoted me $1100 for the Panasonic NR-BY551XS, Mega quoted me $1099. But then again, I've been getting my stuff from my neighborhood shop for the last decade++, and he would just match whatever cheapest price I find so no issue for me. Hope that helps -
Hi I'm contemplating between OPSH and Closetdesign for my MBR wadrobe. Have yet to check either one out, will probably do so sometime next week. But in the meantime, I would like to get the feedback and opinion of those who had engaged either one before. Can I know: 1) What are the pros and cons 2) What made you choose one over the other 3) How is the workmanship, before and after sales service 4) Durability of the product 4) And most importantly pricing. Thanks

navik replied to khengjoo's topic in Ceiling, Walls and Flooring Works
Placed a deposit to do up my MBR using the Castello-original laminate yesterday. Had to top up an additional $96 for the original skirting, although an earlier forumer mentioned that they provide original skirting Hope everything turns out fine. -

Actually if he shows you with the balancing tool and it is balanced, the problem might not be with the windows, but your wall. You can easily check with with the balance tool, just get it at any hardware store My mom's house the kitchen door/wall was slightly slanted for years (original from HDB), and the sliding doors kept giving problem, but as it was not very obvious no one noticed or though about it. It was not until 20 years later when we renovated the kitchen and removed the sliding door frame did my contractor noticed that it was not level. He ended up plastering the door/wall to level everything, modified the sliding door frame to ensure that everything was right-angled and we had no problems with the sliding door since

LCD or Plasma TV
navik replied to sakae sushi's topic in Sound and Vision -Home Theatre Systems & Audiophiles
Currently considering the new Samsung 43D450 Series 4 Plasma TV, 43". Its cheap at $799 (probably gona drop somemore soon), but only 720p and 2xHDMI. But then again, we're not at home >8hrs a day (5 days a week), total TV watching time in a week would probably be like 5-8hrs max. Other plus points would be better SD quality for free-to-air channels, e.g. TV5 news, and better black contrast. -

What Is Your Favourite Brand For Fridge? :)
navik replied to Renosotong's topic in Electronics & Electricals
I have shortlisted the Panasonic NR-BY551XS (freezer at the bottom) and the Hitachi RZ582EMS (traditional design). Currently leaning towards the Panasonic due to the nicer design lol -

Hack Old Tiles Away Or Overlay?
navik replied to aegis0129's topic in Ceiling, Walls and Flooring Works
Best to remove all tiles before laying new ones. If the original tiles are not done properly it will pop and cause your new tiles to crack. Repairing this would not be a simple job as you have 2 layers of tiles to deal with. -

Hi howly, can pm me the contacts? Tried to pm you, but got error message saying you cannot receive PM. I guess your PM might be full. Thanks -
Was looking at the Fujioh FG772SVGL (traditional 3 ring mode) or the FG792GL (inner flame mode). But seems like there's been a few "horror" stories about glass hob shattering. Never really liked stainless steel designs as found the design too messy with many nooks and ridges which made them hard to clean. Cleanest design I've seen so far for stainless steel is the Fujioh FG792SS. Looks like I might get that eventually as my wife is a bit accident prone

Hi Aron, please provide me with a quotation for a system 3 inverter installation. Looking at either Mitsubishi Heavy Industry or Panasonic. I also need to remove the existing Aircon (Daikin system 4), is there any trade in for old systems? Thanks

I'm also interested in getting this fridge, would like a review of either of this two model from anyone who is currently using this fridge if possible. Thanks in advance

Anyone has any updated reviews on this unit? Especially fellow forumers who had been using it for a few months? It's one of the shortlisted unit I have in mind, but still have some doubts on Samsung products. Thanks in advance
