Saw this ceiling light at Chan Huat http://www.panasonic.com.my/wps/portal/home/products/homeappliances/lighting/ceilinglight/HAT9510E Like to check if anyone knows where else besides Chan Huat sells Panasonic ceiling lights? Panasonic Singapore does not have anything on ceiling lights (weird). Thanks

Previously posted this in another thread but like no response, hence the re-post here. The windows in my resale unit comes with frosted film. Some of the windows' film have shrunk and the edges are now super stick and disgusting. I'm having them removed and considering if I should repaste with Solar,Privacy or Frosted film again as its a corridor unit. I have a few questions: 1) Was the shrinkage of the original frosted film due to poor film material or poor workmanship? Does the heat, i.e. sun ray actually cause the film to shrink, cos some of the windows along the same row are fine. 2) Can we install privacy film on HDB windows? I was told that its reflective, and might get complains from people living opposite, in which case HDB might ask us to remove... 3) Anyone got good recommendations for film installer?

I'm interested in getting the Rubine JUX610-U kitchen sink. Would like to know where can I find the best price for this. So far the only shop I know that carries Rubine products is Poh Joo. Can fellow RT forumers share what are the other that carry Rubine products at a good price? Thanks

Need Help : How To Patch Up Aircon Hole Below Window In Old Hdb Flat
navik replied to jojo_chinny's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
My mom' house was also patched up with a piece of plank so far no problem after more than 10 years. I believe your id/contractor would use silicone on the edges to prevent water from seeping in. If you're worried about the plank rotting etc, ask him to use waterproof plasterboard -
We were deciding between WMF and Zwilling knifes previously. After a few days of considerations, we settled on a Zwilling Five Star combo package (just the Santoku and Paring knife, plus a sharpening tool) which was retailing at $125. Figured we would not be using most of the other knifes which were good to have, but not really necessary to have. Most other places we checked were selling at $168 without the sharpening tool. Have not used it yet, but based on my experience with my mom's Zwilling Twin Pollux knifes (the lower range) it should be quite good to use.

Hi joyousonline, mind sharing how much you got the July package for? Thanks

Are your serious?? I was thinking of getting the Sim Siang Choon toilet bowl initially. Could it be due to the drainage?

Hi saw that you got the one-piece Crizto WC, mind sharing how much you got it for?

Not sure if there is any increase in price, but from the 2010 Blum pricelist, 1 set of Blum hinge and Blumotion damper cost less than $5 after GST. And for normal cabinet doors, 1 Blumotion damper per door is actually enough to prevent the door from slamming.

Congrats deardyan, same same l'm also getting married in Oct, reno starting next wed haha, but not as fortunate like u, got a resale instead to stay in same estate as my folks.

Solar film is good in the day when its bright outside and darker inside, hence cannot see in. But at night when its dark outside and bright inside, the reverse happens and people outside can look in.

Hi, I would be interested to know too as I'm considering this for my MBR (3.3mx4.8m). Cheers -
Hi a few questions to ask the experts here 1) How do I know my unit has enough water pressure accommodate a rainshower system? I'm staying on the top floor (understand water pressure tends to be lower for top floor), and have a storage water heater. 2) Any recommended (cheap and good) rainshower system to recommend? 3) Where can I find the best price for the GROHE Rainshower® WaterColours Spring Collection? Thanks

No harm calling them to check, you don't really have anything to lose. They'll probably send someone down to take a look at the mattress and advise you of your options better than we can. As for your receipt, better make a photocopy if its mean to serve as the warranty. Carbon ink don't last too long before fading

Memory foam will trap heat, but latex (natural, not those synthetic types) is supposed to be breathable hence cooling. The problem with these mattresses is that you tend to sink a bit into them, which cushions you, but at the expense of "wrapping" (don't know how to really explain, hope you understand) you which increases the heat factor. I think for most foam cum spring mattress, the foam will definitely sink, but to do so in five years seems a bit fast wearing. I've been using the same seahorse mattress for the past 20 years and it's only gotten slightly softer but definitely no part of the mattress has sunken in. But then again its a solid foam mattress. On another note, I've avoided most of the furniture shops around Tampines St 81 (even though I used to stay there). Either prices are not competitive or their recommendations are a bit off. You're better off going to S&C or Hommage.

Hi anyone gotten "Rubine" or "MN" sink from Poh Joo before? How is the quality. Read some stories about how bathroom accessories from Poh Joo rust after a few months of use (but to be fair read similar stories regarding items from other shops too). Hence was wondering if the sinks are ok. Bathroom accessories rust still easy to change, but once a sink is mounted, it is a PITA to change it if it rusts. I'm also looking for WC, but realise that Poh Joo only carry (at least they only display) Claytan WC. Not very keen on Claytan, any other brands to recommend? A lot of shops recommend me Crizto (Singapore brand) is this any good? What about Rigel WC? Thanks

Hi, anyone willing to share their review of either company? Went down to both shops yesterday, both wifey and I found the workmanship at opsh looks better... at least at the showroom, service staff seems more "zai" too and better at explaining. But ultimately we would like to hear some reviews from those who already had used their services before.
