Hiya everyone, I am looking forward to renovating my old HDB flat of 24 years to give it a completely new breath of life in 1 year's time. As I'm currently working in Thailand, there are plenty of opportunities to actually walk around to see what's available in Thailand compared to what's available in Singapore. Not sure how many of you had heard of Crystal Design Centre (its really a huge place with all the renovation stuff housed under one roof, well, many roofs actually) in Bangkok. I'd actually had the opportunity to walk around to check things out and was amazed by the really wide selection of tiles and accessories there. Prices are quite decent and has a wide range of selection. Now buying tiles, wood, wash basins, taps, switches, etc and shipping them back via the container isn't really a problem for me. Even providing the designs (less the measurements). The problem is coordinating with the contractor on wanting things to be done (whilst I provide the materials, he provides the manpower and expertise and voila!). So just wondering if anyone here has any experience on such DIY renovation (where you provide your own raw materials) and would be willing to share?
