  1. Here's what my wife and I have in mind for part of the kitchen layout at the toilet side. Pardon my drawing skills ah... not a designer The idea is to have the appliances close together, and have a side cabinet for all the long handle items like broom and mop.
  2. Congrats on your wedding! And yes, it does help to know 1 cor 13
  3. Thinking, maybe if do louvre with frosted glass. Then like that we can have the option of having 100% open for maximum light and wind, then can close bottom for privacy if we need, then use roman blinds for 100% blackout if we want to watch tv. Only think as you mention is the maintenance. Yah, yours and mine have same floorplan but mirror image.
  4. wah piangzzzzzz the painting it like super o biang manz! I see already make me think of days that have to go for water rationing exercise!
  5. Our ceiling doesn't seem any higher leh. Maybe not noticeable to us. We're thinking of using some of the ancient pieces to form kinda like a modern retro theme. Just to create some timelessness feeling. Yah, we'll get citygas peeps to move the meter out coz we're planning to use the gas heater and dryer. You mean the configuration of having the rotating TV console? We thought about it, but we decided against it coz it'll defeat the purpose of a open concept and allowing the light to come in. Err... what sewage pipe? Where?
  6. I think it probably used to be a cabinet. That area is rubbish chute... dun think can jump inside.... some more it's 16 story drop... I believe it's just a wall covering the chute area. Anyways, after some plastering, it shouldn't be noticeable anymore.
  7. Ancient clock. We're planning on keeping this. Probably clean it up and give the sides a fresh coat of paint. Nothing like a timeless clock. My father-in-law says this kind cannot find liao... one of those few that run off electricity.
  8. hahahaha wife will kill me! We love the place coz it has so much potential! Can't wait till we get the keys
  9. Shower. Going to close up this door with a wall, then put up glass shower screen, probably with bi-fold door on other side to open access way into master bedroom. Kitchen sink. We like the location of the sink there, but probably run the water piping under flooring when we hack the kitchen floor.
  10. Utility room. Probably only just changing the flooring. Toilet Toilet with view of piping. Planning to hack down joint wall and re-route the pipes.
  11. Common room Master Bedroom. Planning to hack a hole in the wall so that we have access to the toilet. Master Bedroom. Going for maybe tea coloured windows so it allows more light in, and maybe add roman blinds for block out.
  12. This is the current rubbish chute! Never seen this kind in my life... guess haven't lived long enough. We're thinking of keeping this. Get the contractor to remove it, then we clean it up, repaint, maybe install it somewhere inside the house as like a feature thing. Still thinking. We kinda like these round ancient switches... so we're thinking of keeping some of them to use as a kinda retro design. See how... probably use some thinner and then maybe repaint it to a fresh colour... matte white or mint green Ancient switch. Dun think we'll be keeping this.... too blockish and o biang
  13. kitchen with the gas meter right there!! Argh! This one will be a headache coz we're thinking of routing the gas meter to outside the flat, but problem is the gas comes in from the kitchen floor.(??!!!??) I think that's one of the disadvantage of living on the top floor. Our current door grill. It's gonna have to go Super ancient picture!!! 1970s wan!
  14. Some pictures of the place Living room. Considering whether to put in frosted windows, and also deciding what kind of windows... louver or sliding View from partition wall to kitchen. It should be a lot brighter once we get the wall down. View from kitchen to living. If our open concept works out, that's how much light that comes in.
  15. macy84, looking forward to seeing how yours goes through as well
  16. hey may_dream1, Ok lah. Sq metre still standard, 67.5m^2. The balcony no more already since they upgraded it with utility room. But we are really blessed that ours is next to corner where the lift landing is so we have a "balcony" still ;D
