No such thing as if put in kitchen then warranty not covered for inovar. Lifetime direct factory coverage against fading and scratches. No laminate company gives warranty against warping or swelling. Anyways, supreme gets it's board from pergo I believe. Inovar used to supply to pergo but due to some conflicts, no more now.

Ya lor... no connecting to mbedroom. But better also lah now on retrospect. Our shower area is BIG! haha Make me feel a little lonely in there. Yup, we loving the shower screen too. As for AC, we choose panasonic coz it's just one of the more eco driven companies. Every other AC also has inverter, but panasonic has other eco advantages like the patrol system, heat sensor system... I thought it's very smart of the company to have the AC know where to direct cool air to and that makes it one step up from other brands. Also panasonic was having offer lor... got $200 NTUC voucher. haha

I think the flooring will be fine. We were well aware that we're taking unconventional steps to put laminates in the kitchen but I think it's coz Inovar uses hardwood and their expansion due to water is only a small percentage, we're actually looking forward to see if there is any warpage.(then can complain to David!! muahahaha) But so far everything is much better than expected. Some more last few days rain, I forgot to close the windows, water came in, I didn't notice it until quite a while later... the floor all wet. Just wipe and it's fine. =) As for the sealed up wall... dunno... we hope no hairline crack comes, but then we never know. Our hacker put a pretty thick layer of plaster for the kitchen walls, and if hairline cracks develop, it should still be ok coz that's the place where we will be putting the fridge.

we chose this to be our solid surface color. It's a little pricely but we figured we wanted something that will last and look good. It's 100% acrylic. The contractor is recommended by David. This contractor usually does major projects for Macdonalds, KFC...etc. We shall see how it all turns out. This is where we have progressed so far. We're guessing that we should be able to complete everything by this week. So estimated total time for reno is about 1.5 months.

Some slight modifications to my original drawings. We decided to take out one cabinet due to measurements for fridge and washer.

Progress currently. The kitchen cabinets are halfway through. Ikea has delivered the dinning table and sofa.
-
Finally we managed to get approval and had the gas pipe changed!!!! No more stupid pipe running from floor to ceiling!
-
Shoe cabinet as inspired by many other 3-roomers from this forum.

We love the fine details to the grooves and texture. Yup, flooring all the way through our kitchen as well. ;D

Encountered some problem with the window grills when it was installed... couldn't open the windows fully after the grills was installed. So we had them do some adjustments. Windows, windows grills, shower screen, toilet door all done by F& A aluminum. Total cost $3630 2 naco windows 3 casement windows 2 top hung 1 bi fold 1 shower screen 2 window double reinforced grills 1 iron main gate with acrylic panel Service: 3/5 Quality: 3/5 Efficiency: 4/5 Value: 4/5 Overall: 3.5/5 Our overall experience from F&A aluminum wasn't too pleasant because they didn't seem to communicate too well with their office and workers. Also they failed to give us ample time when they were coming to install. Wouldn't recommend them. This one was sourced out by finding those adverts in mailbox.

Our toilet bowl, shower screen and toilet door installed. Shower screen is a 3 fold, and toilet door is white bi-fold.

Utility room has a lot more yellow as it is our study room. We also wanted more light to come in from it.
-
2 shades of lilac for the mbedroom.
-
Painting for living and common room done. Total cost of painting is $1200, inclusive of sealer and 6 colors of paint. (from David) We chose green and yellow theme for the wall colors coz it's a lot brighter and fresher. I didn't like the idea of a totally white place coz white tends to give a grey shade on unlit areas. Also, green and yellow makes the place warmer and cozier. We chose Nippon. Also, the windows are already done. We have done louver naco windows for near the corridor windows and casement windows for the mbedroom, utility and kitchen. Utility and kitchen has top hung windows as well for added ventilation when we're not home.

L-box for living room. Interestingly, they had to use more kung fu for our place of our ceiling is very 'rainbow' shape. ;D
-
L-Box done. Total cost of L-box is $880

For air con, our compressor is a 27k BTU. Fancoils: 2x 9k BTU 1x 18k BTU (Living room) Tested the living room one... very nice! Can effectively cool all the way to the kitchen in less than 20mins! Somemore panasonic give $200 NTUC voucher. Our total was $3279.00 Can say it is $3079 coz of the NTUC $200 vouchers rebate.
