How much they quote u for the window..if u wanted to change all? Just my suggestion.. instead of changing the grilles now..y don't u change together with the window in 2yrs time.. keep the cash for window grilles now n do together later..& u might be able to ask for discount since u do the whole house..

heee how misleading can it be? Even if the door is small, the smallest for wardrobe is 600mm.. so base on my calculation, total length for 5 doors will be 3000mm.. with that, can play hide & seek inside Btw, why u need to reduce ur wardrobe? What will be the new size now?

DAY 13 Had a meet up with Neo last night at my parents plc. Mostly we discuss about the progress and also to settle all the doubt regards the reno. So far, my experience with him is a good one. Easy to talk, responsible guy and a joker.. Usually when there things need to explain we will discuss before work begin..Eg A few weeks ago he called me and say the wall tiles for my MBR toilet is OOS. And gave me a few option. Option 1 - To reselect a new tiles and hack the existing (Reject) Option 2 - To keep the existing but at some area use a new colour tiles (Reject) Option 3 - There is same colour tiles like mine BUT instead of 600x300, the tiles is 600x600. And funny guy, he wanted to put the whole big piece on my wall . I agree on Option 3, provided he have to cut the big piece to half..which after that make no diff as my existing tiles, the size be the same So far from day 1 till now, any issue we able to solve on the spot..hopefully it will continue this way. And last night after the meet up when over to see the reno progress.. Though they slow down a bit, Im still happy to see all the wall tiles are up, my base for Island and cabinet have been construct. Today, will be day 1 for plastering..was told it will take them 5 days to do the whole house aiyaiyai I start to feel very tired nowadays. Everyday including on wkends we will drop by to see the progress..

still doing the tiling..suddenly I find it too slow.. Got to know my tiles for MBR toilet is OOS, so no choice have to wait. If u need a quotation from my contractor, let me know.. I can PM u his contact & who knows he can do ur dream toilet heee

RB, I totally agree with you. I have a few conversation & meet the same officer as csingeu. From what I can see, yes, she is a nice officer BUT somehow she lack of technical knowledge. When I apply for a permit to hack part of my toilet walls, I have to keep on arguing and make sense with her regards my new layout. Example, if a top hung ventilation located on top of the door is not allowed, definately a share ventilation (an opening on top of wall) shouldn't be a problem. After a series of explanation to her how the things should work, finally its approved.

hmmm Flannel Cherry looks good.. it will actually outstand and bringten up the area. colour not so dark and not so dull heee...only old timer can do this type of hand drawings...ID nowadays need software to visualise what we want. So old timer are much more hands on

What type of tiles u choose? I selected all the rough surface. Mayb u can follow maydream method, pour a bit of water to have a feel if its slippery or not. When u choose ur tiles colour, always focus on the colour & theme that u have in mind Btw, do u have any blog?

hee yup... Hope everything will look acceptable.. and seems like hubster who love the new toilet layout, while me just keep to myself and pray for the good outcome.. Love the new balcony space. Before, while waiting for the approval, hubs keep on commenting not to hack the wall since can hack only 1 wall might as well dont do. But once he saw the outcome, he is more excited than me.. LoL! and how he wish we can hack both wall.. Now he keep on hinting to me for his Chengal decking..since i'm the accountant..

sister, that was last week. Now wall already up..seems like small to me. Hope once tiles done, I don't have any guilty feelings. I tink my island will only be ready in two weeks time. I can't wait to see urs too..& ur progress is very fast..few days I didnt log in..a lot of things has been done

Day 7 Went to view last night.. Luck not on my side, camera went dead Saw part of the kitchen tiles already up.. Hopefully more tiles be ready today Husband took this from one of our neighbour hse.. heee classic Our scenery.. Im Loving It!

RENO PROGRESS As promised, here are the reno progress pictures from Day 2 to Day 5

yup, I check with my Mechanical Engineer and he remind me to ask for drain tray since my compressor will be at balcony. Im still in dilema whether to run my trunking inside false ceiling or below.. Engineer ask me to put inside as what he say, it will look nice and hardly FCU get spoilt..but contractor ask me to put it below, if anything wrong can easily repair.. now I got 2wks to think

heee.. will upload once my tiles is up.. & for the 1st time yesterday we have a meeting with tilers..discuss everything how it shoud be done.. And my contractor requested 2 more of my drawings for him to pass to carpentry, and 1 more for him to frame up..LoL!
