  1. Went back yesterday to have a quick look at the house.... Everything's been hacked, doorframes have been removed... Materials uplifted to the flat, sand, cement, tiles etc. And the surprise! Our balcony has been retiled! That was rather quick. But we also discovered a long crack at the corner of the wall, after they removed the balcony door and doorframe.
  2. I think we got the 40" version of this. I think you can consider getting during the PC show in Sep.
  3. Thank you! Just wondering, did you see the display set before buying? I've been to many places but cannot find this model on display...
  4. Dear Terry (or any one here who might know), Where can I view display models of the Bosch ovens? Would Rina Electrical have them on display? Otherwise, please advise an electronics store which would have the ovens, esp HBN-331E2J on display, preferably in town or in the west side. So far I have been to several of the bigger names dept stores and they don't have it.
  5. Weird but seriously unique. On a serious note, WELCOME! Have fun! Plenty of nice ppl (like me!) around here.
  6. Adidaem and I don't anyhow give compliments hence it must be deserved! And it's cool, cuz not many ppl are actually so anal to go and test light switches. Can I ask what is this backing box thingy? What do you mean by non concealed? Sorry I think I sound **** suaku here.
  7. Welcome to Renotalk! Interesting to see your completed photos then your 3Ds I like your oven! WHich brand and model is it and how much does it cost? Any reviews of it yet? Can't wait to see pictures of your bathrooms!
  8. Wah... I love your long basin... my ID tell me no space for long basin or double sink. Somemore want me to choose semi recessed basin! Choice so limited!!! I super now.
  9. I agree... Move the 4th bedroom/study closer to the other bedrooms. Additionally, I will open up the wall between the kitchen and the living room and maybe close the one opposite the bedroom door.
  10. Good description Where did you do the testing of the switches? The electrician offered us normal switches, but hubby wants something nicer. How much do the legrand ones cost?
  11. I have not received yet, it's in the latest shipment on its way to Singapore now. But I read reviews online that have to be careful with the screws and tighten it every now to ensure that the chair don't give way.
  12. could u pm me ur electrician's contact?? rr
  13. no, not the whole house. there are some existing wiring which we don't intend to replace. maybe just the bulbs. but we've seen some quotes in this forum which is more affordable than us. but definitely will take into account on the electrician's reliability. we dunno about this guy yet. rr
  14. Hacking's done and this week is wet works. We received this quote from the electrician recommended by our ID. Would need advice from the experts here...Are we being overcharged here? All the small little costs just add up to this huge scary number.
  15. Real Good Chairs! I have a couple of these as part of my dining chairs too!
  16. ayukie, which models did you get? Still thinking what hob, hood and oven to get....
  17. wei2, which Bosch oven did you get and how much does it cost?
  18. Oh... I would love to have folding doors like yours actually, but ended up getting sliding, cuz it's cheaper. Our balcony door also not that big...*shrugs* I thought it was an issue with the maintenance of the artificial glass. How do you wash/maintain it anyway?
  19. There is also a similar green carpet at Muji. If you want REALLY good carpets similar to the one TS has, can check out Molecule at Great World City. The carpet is around $2k each. You can also check out Lifestory, but iirc they are currently partially closed for reno.
  20. Hi Jerome, sorry. Plans changed. We are putting our oven below the hob, apparently, it's not advisable to have glass hob as the glass might break due to the hear from the oven. Hence we are considering this model instead: RB-3Si. So can you PM me the cost of getting Rinnai RB-3Si and Turbo T6001 with the option of adding the Electrolux 31002? And also PM me your shop name/address if possible? Thank you!
  21. The Centrepoint outlet was opened by Space Furniture. You might want to give them a call or visit them at their new shop in Bencoolen Street (next to Elections Department or Sunshine Plaza). http://www.spacefurniture.com.sg/
  22. Thank you Jerome. I've read many good things about the Fujioh hood, esp FX900 and 800MK2, but I feel both are too bulky and too "big". I would prefer something slimmer and yet at the same time have good suction power. Just wondering if it's too much to ask for something that looks good and work well. Not considering chimney hood, as I would like to keep my storage space above the hood. What other brands/models would you recommend? In the meantime, can you PM me the cost of getting Rinnai RB-2CG and Turbo T6001 with the option of adding the Electrolux 31002? And also PM me your shop name/address if possible? Thank you again!
  23. Hi Juliana, can you share which Turbo hood you got? I am eyeing the Rinnai RB-2CG inner flame and was looking for a good hood (Rinnai hood doesn't seem as popular, or as nice). I was recommended a Turbo hood, it's Made in Italy. My concern is that if it's made in Italy, does it mean that the hood is more suitable for European cooker and their smaller fires.... The turbo hood that I saw is very slim and a suction power of approx 600m3/hr.
  24. 1. Mayer customer service seems quite bad. 2. European brands not as popular, esp if you intend to do a lot of asian cooking (stirfrying using woks, steaming) etc. EU brands fire not as strong as Asian brands, based on what I've gathered.
