Where To Get 'designer' Power Sockets?
strikingreality replied to renman2735's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
Choo Chiang Marketing. Just google. They sells switches of all brands, colour wise, if you check with them I am sure they have various colours to choose from. -
Are you sure that that model is so cheap? Unless the price is referring to display piece. The prices if I recall correctly, is around $1099 thereabouts at Best Denki for stainless steel and slightly cheaper for black. The neighbourhood shops still offer better prices than Best Denki/HN/Courts. I bought this and it has been delivered, but have not switched on yet, so cannot comment.

Kobelala... I love those EMs, cuz their layouts are so different from the usual! There are some near my in laws estate and I always wondered about the layout. I felt other than the living room, the whole unit is actually very nicely "shaped". The kitchen is screaming to be hacked! Where did u see this unit?

I dunno how much the wall would cost, as I inherited it from the previous owner. You might want to check with other owners who have a brick wall to get a rough idea of the pricing?

I quite like your layout! Yes, the exterior and side walls are curved, but otherwise, the house is generally well designed with the rooms clustered in one area together, the common toilet door opens to the bedrooms and the store well hidden away. It's a SOBF from the exercise in end last year? And you just gotten your keys? How come take so long for yours? My friend also balloted for the SOBF from last year, and gotten her keys for her flat in Hougang in Apr/May thereabouts. Sadly she is still renovating her flat after 4 months. -
Hhahaha, I like my non-brick craft stone wall!

Nope, we got it in walnut. We are big fans of darkwoods and it contrasts well against our ash/pinewood laminates. Same with the Line TV console as well. We got it in walnut too. You can see it in our T-blog though it is still partially wrapped in styrofoam.

Hanging from the ceiling may look nice but dun think it's v practical. Over time it may not look as nice and need replacing which means you may need tO customize another set?? How about 1 that sits in the sink for drying? As I have a double sink I will wash and rinse at one side then put it in the drainer at the other side for draining.

The good thing about the werk table is that you can customize your glass table top to the length you want, even more so since the table legs are two separate pieces. We got the 1.8m glass top which is a good size for dining.

Not sure if they are the sole distributor, but Choo Chiang sells them. http://ccm.sg/www/Brands.htm -
I love the lighting in the entire house. The Artemide Tolomeo was bought 2nd hand from an ad we saw here on Renotalk. Very nice first owner who sold this to us at a fraction of the price and even delivered it to our house, cuz we lived in the same estate. Living Room The balcony light, which is the Artemide Mesmeri, looks uncannily like its stock photo. Which is a good thing, which means Artemide does not lie in its pictures and its advertising. balcony The &Tradition lights were not the first lights we chose for the dining, even though I was lusting after them for a long while, but without seeing the actual thing, I couldn't bring myself to checkout the basket... That was until hubby saw them in Foundry one fine day, and decided that we needed to get it. And with free shipping and ample protection, we bought them online. The original dining lamps, which we got in Bangkok were relegated to the study. dining

Today we spent the whole day in the house receiving our furnitures and electronics and juz basically general cleaning up.. we realized that the walls in the MBR are pretty poorly painted and checked with the ID. He claimed it's done by the laminates contractor (who was engaged by us separately) and parts of it is due to the original condition of the wall and we had chose not to plaster it, hence this was the end result. Personally I felt that the ID should have warned us that if we don't plaster the wall this would be the end result. I felt that it was unfair for the ID to assume that we would know this considering that this was our first home. Shouldn't he has anticipated this beforehand?! Hubby says I feel like this because of my background (I work in the hotel line). But because the house is close to handover, the ID says he cannot replaster the whole room again although he will try to make good the wall close to the skirting.

I bought quite a few items from Heritage as well. Prices are def reasonable and the staff are extremely friendly. I was served by sharrine.

Love your laminates! Very very nice. Now I want it. Hahah. Btw, are your 2 taps wide enough for you and Dreaming to stand next to each other comfortably while brushing your teeth? We wanted a long sink too, but in the end gave up the ides... cuz it felt a little tight. Love your shower area too! From the pictures, it looks like wood... Where is your toilet roll holder?

I guess the word here would be discipline? Need to be disciplined and conscientious enough to keep on tidying up and ensuring that the area is not messy. I will moving some stuff into my new place this weekend, will have to see how I manage that! LOL.
