Interesting choice of laminates for your kitchen! Are you going to put a backsplash or something? If not I think the grouting for the kitchen would be quite tedious! I like the lime green laminates inside your waredrobe and the wired glass. We are usually a similar shade of lime green for our study wall and wired glass for our balcony door and study as well.

I had some issues with this too, cuz sometimes my ID is a bit forgetful and then he will forget this, or forget that, until we remind him again. If there is black and white, like in the case in your email, I don't see why you should pay. Cuz you did ask him, and if he choose not to answer and take the most convenient route out. I agree though, that you may lose the goodwill that you've built up with him then next time less discount already. So sad right, like we end up at the mercy of the contractors/IDs.

Curtains and blinds arrived over the weekend. Installation was very quick, the 2 men finished the installation within a hour and hung up the curtains v nicely for us. Workmanship of the curtains are quite good. very few loose threads. Blinds are of very high quality too. While installing they also taught us how to maintain the curtains and blinds. The only thing they can do better is actually clean up the dust etc after they have worked. But that's not really an issue for me because I can easily do that myself. But just to go the extra mile, it would be a good to have.

Other than your king bed, the following items will cost you quite a bit. - Sofa 3 seater, and 2 couches - Dining table x1 and chairs enough for 6 people - TV console cabinet x1 Buy these items first, as they are used most often, then after that use the balance for the remaining items. I think 12k would be a reasonable amount to cater for, with possibly some left over.

Can you do wall hung toilets in HDB? MY understanding is cannot unless HDB builds for you (eg in pinnacle at duxton). Better double check before buying... Re your budget for FFE, better budget more, esp with the type of furnitures we spoke about earlier... 20k may be a bit tight...

Usually drawings are provided for places where there are a lot of carpentry or customized furniture as there is a lot of difference with/without the carpentry. Toilets don't change that much that's what my ID told me. But we bugged him into giving us one as there is a vanity counter....

I'll knock out the wall between the kitchen and study to do a kitchen cum dining area. There's a window over there, so it's not so enclosed. I'll then do a glass partition across the living/dining at the wall next to bedroom 3 to do the study. Then have the area between the new study and the kitchen/dining area as the living room. Too bad the wall between bedroom 3/living area is a solid wall, if not can hack and get a hugeass bedroom!

If the ventilation hole is pointing downwards, then it will be blowing directly on you when you are checking the items through the glass door, because you will have to bend down below the door handle in order to look through...

I like this 3 room layout... it's not that long, and quite squarish. Only thing though is that it's v close to the lifts... This floorplan belongs to A New Lair in the West.
