Personally, I find those a little tacky... ma-chiam like restaurant like that but that's my personal view. For your guests they can use the serving tables, how about yourself then? I meant something more like this... so you can use it for other stuff as well, like for your laptop or for your snacks while you watch TV. The top one is from Muji, 2nd one from Ikea.

I see a Grafunkt Line TV Console! Exactly the same as what we got. I dun think you should get a coffee table though, cuz the distance between your TV and your sofa looks v tight already... A side table would be much better, or one of those serving tables which can be pushed into the sofa.

BuyNow7 - yeah we gave them tips but it wasn't mandated by the company or anything like that, so to your question ad to whether we PAID them tips, I would say no. We gave them a round number to split among themselves which works out to a small single digit each person incl driver, enough for a meal. We also bought them canned drinks as well as it was super hot the day we moved. Yaolong - Their website is elitemovers.com.sg Abupapa - we bought our table at Pomelo. The original price of the Strut Table is $1,800 thereabouts. But juz FYI, the colour we got it in, Olive, is a discontinued colour. I dun think Grafunkt has it in this colour since they only recently started stocking it. But can double check with them. HTHs.

Btw, wanted to share my experience with the movers I engaged - Elite Movers. The movers arrived 45 minutes before our scheduled time of 1pm. 4 men and 1 driver. Very efficient! The driver really just drives and take care of the vehicle, while the 4 movers do all the moving. Things we forgot, or miss out, or put at the wrong location they just go and do it. No black face, no complaints. Just do it attitude. :good: Boxes which I have not taped up, they actually took initiative and taped it up for us. Like wise for some loose items in smaller boxes, they have also put it into another box for us. In fact these guys are so efficient, they finished moving everything by 1.30pm. That's 75 minutes for moving from 2 locations to my new place! Very very fast. Very satisfied with their services. If I ever move in the not so near future, will definitely use them again.

King and king Wong is at Nex. Maybe search for side tables rather than bedside tables. I remember ikea has a few round ones which were labelled as side tables.

Definitely insist on new laminates if your contractor is not already doing so. Btw, they didn't remove the ones under the bedframe?! What happens If those warp as well and affect the bedframe?

Are all the shortlisted dining tbls available in SG? I ESP like the third one. Btw what kind of look are you going for? There are quite a few inspirations, from which I gather you're going for a raw industrial look with a wood dining table.

The modern conveniences like our hob, hoods, ovens, espresso machines will never give our kitchen the real mid century look but I like the little touches esp the porcelain sink. Originally wanted 1 but in the end gave up cuz ID says it is better if we hv a concrete kitchen cabinet for better support. I like the overall feel of your kitchen though. V similar to mine with the wood cabinets at the bottom, white solid top and top cabinets. Why the Swiss edition Citiz though??? Is it different other than being limited edition? Also what green mosaic tiles?!?! Am I missing something?!

Rather than use a normal doormat we decided to get this to put our frequently worn shoes rather than leave them outside on a shoerack.

Hello bigbag! Which clock are you referring to? For the acctim, I first saw it in amazon.co.uk. After going through their catalogue I googled the exact name of the clock I wanted and bought it on some pharmacy website (go figure) which delivered to SG. Around £20 thereabouts incl shipping. For the Newgate I bought it at BORDERS Expo sale. 50% off at $49. You can also find Newgate on Amazon UK. If you go to Jumpstreet's website can find a site which delivers to SG. For my windows and grills they were left over from the previous owner. We only changed one window from casement to sliding because our AC compressor unit is too high to open casement windows.

I agree the peca ileum is too bright... Def needs to be dimmer. What light bulb are you using?
