http://www.hdb.gov.sg/fi10/fi10321p.nsf/w/BuyResaleFlatAppt?OpenDocument Read the section on 2nd Appointment (Completion Appointment) Since the flat is like a karang gunee store. I suggest you arranged a inspection twice, once about 3 days before to see their "progress" and the day before to ensure everything is emptied?

Em At Sunset Way
strikingreality replied to gerby's topic in HDB New/Resale Flats, Executive Condominiums
Yup yup, rottenramone's the hubby. Actually we really really like the view and the location of that unit. But the price is just too high... I dun understand why Sunset Way is such a hot and expensive location esp when the amenities are lacking, but i guess it much be the lush environment and surroundings, and vicinity to the private estates which helps elevate its prices as well. At that time, the owner was asking for 100k COV which I think is ridiculous for any HDB flat. But I think their asking prices were way too high. It was on the market I think for more than 3-4 months, which is quite rare for a unit in that location. I think the owners were plain greedy, they renovated the bathrooms just before putting it on sale. Which makes you wonder.... -
I am interested in this particular model: R-S37SYPS Have any one used this or bought this? I was quoted $990 at a neighbourhood electronics shop.
-
It seems like your quote is inclusive of electrical costs as well, since there is rewiring? Most quotes come without rewiring/electrical costs. You seem to be doing quite a bit, and I dun think you are ripped off. If you need some creative input, go for ID, otherwise you can go for a contractor if you already have a clear design concept in mind.
-
Have you solved the problem yet? We are considering something similar for our balcony as well.
-
having such limited space have led us to rethink our kitchen island. ID advised that lack of storage space may pose a problem if our family grows. meanwhile, have checked out some sites. seeing that japanese living areas have much smaller spaces, decided to surf around and came up with http://www.toyokitchen.co.jp seems like its gonna be super expensive.

I didnt live in Boon Lay, but used to go to my aunt's clothes shop on the group floor of Boon Lay shopping centre. And Savoy Cinema! LOL. I think I watched Home Alone there.

http://www.kai-ind.co.jp/en/ - this is available in Tangs Maybe... cannot recall. Is it an old wives tale?

Hahaha. Actually with the discount, MORE justifiable than previously, but the main thing was that it came in 2m by 1m which was a little big for me. I was looking for a 1.8m table which was a better size. Then I just receievd Air's July newsletter which stated they are having a 40% off all TV consoles... **** it. It would have made their Telegraph TV console within my budget. Sorry for bombarding your t-blog with pictures of the items I like.

My mum had 2 WMF pots and a WMF wok from many years back and it still looks quite good, no marks whatever. So I guess mileage may vary for everyone bah... When I bought my WMF wok, I was told my the sales person to boil some water with vinegar in it first before 1st use or something like that... What's the purpose, anyone knows?
-
I wish I knew about this before I bought my knifes, Tan Boon Liat is so close to my office!
-
I bought the Zwilling Four Star knife set. Again, don't think I will need everything, but it's just more worth it to get that entire set than the knives which are necessary. For WMF and Zwilling knives, there is the Made in China and Made in Germany ones. Prices of the German made ones are about double that of the China made ones. Very pretty and very thin! But didn't realise cannot cut bone... Btw, how often should we sharpen our knives? I lived on 2 knives over 4 years in uni overseas and never sharpend them once!

Hi there, I am thinking of something similar in the balcony in my new place. I have an enlarged balcony with not much light as well, similar to an airwell, but within the HDB block. Thinking of the vertical garden. How does it work? Do you have to engage Far East to do it? Just wondering what are the costs....
-
How lucky for you guys to have a garden. I grew up in a landed with a mum with green fingers. She's always in the garden growing veg and stuff and it's always nice to have produce from the back of the garden. We had bittergourd, pandan, papaya, ladies finger, mangetout, turnip, peanuts, sweet potato leaves, choy sum etc. If the plot is used to grow bittergourd or chilli, the soil will be very bitter/spicy after that. Hence whatever crop you grow on the plot after that is going to be bitter. Just an fyi.

Here's a t-blog for a EM at Sunset Way http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=24845 And another blog entry for an EM in Sunset Way http://obllique.com/#/sunsetway And we viewed this 4A unit in Sunset Way http://www.propertyguru.com.sg/listing/2030127 I conclude that Sunset Way homeowners really put a lot of money into their homes. -

Rottenramone's parents are staying in the EA in the area. If only he has a nice view of the forest instead of the junction on the other side.... -
Air stuff after discount still v ex... I was eyeing this table at first, but it's just too ex ($2750 after disc) and a little big for my requirements, so gave it up.
-
Which dining table did you get from Air Division???
-
Bludot! Are you also a Pomelo fan? timothyng27 is also eyeing this particular dining table. All the best for your reno!

My in laws live in one of those EA next to YISS. Very big units, but odd shaped. I find the EMs in this estate one of the most unique, completely unlike the usual EMs that you find in the other estates. You can consider these as well. The only other place with big units like Sunset Way would be Clementi Ave 6. Quite exclusive cuz of only 6 blocks, and quite unblocked in terms of views. Can consider in future, though prices may be a bit higher because of Nan Hua opposite. -
frigginfuchsia, I saw a bottom freezer fridge! Which brand and what model??? TIA!

8| Oops. Sorry, reading multiple blogs does this to you (or me at least!) I meant wei2.

This is the only interesting picture after the hacking... Hubby took a look at this and thought aloud "Actually I quite like this wall, can we keep it for the industrial look?" Of course the answer is no. Here's hubby walking to the common toilet to take a look.
-
The all important notice on the start of our hacking! Well, actually not this, but I thought this one is cuter, while the other more official. Noticed that some the pictures in the poster have already been doodled on?

Yeah, we did check. In fact most fridges and WMs are made in Thailand and Malaysia. I did check for the sticker as well, that's why shortlisted to these 2 models .
