  1. I never realised your t-blog has no pictures. Hmm... search for pictures online to show us what you mean?
  2. *Sayang* Never heard from you for a while... Hope you will manage to recover your $$....
  3. Now that I read your reply, i felt like I just asked a very duh dumb blonde question. I thought they were fixed blinds/panels like from the good ol' days.
  4. Like your blinds! How do you remove them should you need to clean your windows. Where are they made? Also, where did you get your fan? End product is really :good:!
  5. here's loyd pek's work: http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=24846 http://loydpek.blogspot.com/
  6. Project File pricing is on the (much) higher side compared to other IDs. Also a lot of their carpentry is done with plywood, so for the price they are asking for vs the quality that they are providing, the value proposition isn't really there. We really like the ID whom we spoke to though.
  7. I have to say, your daring choice of floor tiles has paid off! It goes really well with your Indo furniture! v v v nice!
  8. How many mattress did you buy? 10k just for mattress and bed frame?
  9. Congrats! Must remember to post completed pictures!
  10. http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=31759 You might wanna refer to the above t-blog. The owner kept the broken marble and have a contemporary look as well.
  11. d2wntan, wah the fridge you shortlisted all v big leh... Personally I am a fan of bottom freezers, but you might want to check reviews for the Panasonic. I shortlisted 1 too, but found out that reviews isn't v good.
  12. mabaricows, never heard from you guys for a while... Moved in already?
  13. Blanco Sink avail at Hoe Kee. www.hoekee.com.sg
  14. Kobelala, wanna ask you about the light switches. Other than Choo Chiang, are there other shops which have those switches for testing. Yesterday, I walked around the Syed Alwi, Kelantan Lane and Jalan Besar, but cannot find these "light switch" shops you mentioned. I suppose cuz it was a Sunday, most of the shops would have been closed. But do you have a more exact location, cuz all three roads rather long? Eg. Kelantan Lane, issit those shops under the HDB flats etc?
  15. AutumnIsa, Welcome! Your flat seems to be in very good condition. I will keep the flooring! But that's just me, cuz it fits into the Mid Century Modern look which I am going for.
  16. Tanwg, it really depends on your budget. We went for a mixture of cheaper and more expensive brands for our toilet accessories. The higher end of taps and mixers is grohe, damixa, mid end would be paffoni, omax, lower end will be the house brands like sims at sim siang choon and roz at hoe kee. Toilet bowls there are high end like toto, mid end like arino and lower end like baron. We went for the higher end brands for our taps but the "normal" brands for our sinks and toilet bowls. Scouted everywhere but bought everything direct from royal fanco.
  17. Wah, another Queenstown-er at Forfar Heights/Dawson area! I wish I had the money for a unit in Queenstown. *jealous* Great views. You seem to ave bought everything already... when's the reno starting?
  18. Wetworks = cement works and tiling. I suppose you would have finished hacking?
  19. I was crazy about the Veillux Flyol Pendant Lamp for a while, after seeing it on timothyng27's t-blog. I mean it looks really nice as a pendant lamp, with the various origami-like lamps, as shown below. But I never managed to visit Park Mall to see the real thing. Since hubby was in the vicinity, I thought to ask him to check it out for me. He sent me this mms. OMG. Never would I have guessed it would be that big. Funnily, he told me there are two sizes, big and bigger. Big ends at close to his chest. Talk about product misrepresentation! The only good thing though, is that they are quite affordably priced for their size. ~$350 thereabouts for the bigger size.
  20. We've been scouting around for lights and electronics the past week. Lights is a big headache in my opinion, cuz there isn't much that seem to catch our fancy. So it's scouting after scouting. Think this week we will visit Pan Tech in Jurong East. The good thing though, is that we just bought 2 Artemide Mesmeri Wall Light at a good price from another new homeowner who imported them directly from Italy.
  21. The furnishings look dated. But I like the view from your bedrooms. The greenery and wide expense of land in front looks really nice. Good to wake up to.
  22. frigginfuchsia, it's exciting, isn't it? Watching your home come alive from the pictures and the concepts! Works in the kitchen have been delayed for a while while we sort out our kitchen layout, but some tiles have been up. Although if you look closely, some of the tiles are not cut to the same size. I wonder if it is because they are at the corner and will be covered by the tiles of the adjoining wall... In any case, gotta check with the ID...
  23. Yes, more pictures please. I really like your living room and balcony (and actually the bedrooms too), so the kitchen must be as nice. My same rationale with getting a bottom freezer fridge. My hubby and I are rabbits, and we love our salads, so having the vegetable compartment at waist level is my preference. Also I dun understand why I have to bend down to get my milk or my cheese or drinks etc, should be at a level we are comfortable with. Who opens the freezer more often than the fridge anyway?? We are more or less decided on the Hitachi 3-door fridge now.
  24. I think my weakness is nice lights... :dribble: Unfortunately most tend to be rather expensive too... I've even expanded my search to online sites but shipping is prohibitive...
