Hi guys, Will need fellow forummers advise on how much I need to budget for my reno. I have just bought a resale 4-room 4A flat - 105sqm. Am planning to do a full reno for the place. Some considerations include: 1. Replacing all the 4 doors. The doors are "n" shaped, and I want to get regular rectangle shaped doors. 2. Does hacking costs a lot? I plan to have parquet floorings in all the bedrooms. Would I need to hack all the tiles, or would the contractors be able to only hack the bedrooms? Or it just makes more sense/economical to hack everything? 3. Redo both toilets and make it modern. 4. Kitchen, to hack away the current cabinets/ sinks, and redo new ones. May I know how much should I roughly budget? Give and take 3-5K difference b/w different ID firms? Thanks.

Hi guys, I've just bought a 4 room resale flat that is 105sqm and it is in fairly good condition. But we still want to do a full reno to modernise the house before we move in in the next few months. Would need fellow forummers advise on this, and how much to budget for it. Some of my considerations are: 1. Is hacking of the floor necessary? Currently my house has white tiles in the living rooms and bedrooms. I plan to have parquet floorings in the bedrooms. Does this mean I need to hack away everything? The previous owner has told me that I can layer on top of the existing tiles layering has not been done on the house before yet. Is this advisable? 2. How much does hacking and tiling add ups? 3. Toilets. Am planning to redo toilets totally as me and the missus want to have new modern toilets with nice showers. 4. Unfortunately the house that we bought does not have the normal rectangular doors. Ours is an "n" shaped door. Does it costs a lot to replace all 4 doors? 5. How much on average should I budget for it (excluding electronics and furnishing)? Thanks.
