  1. Thanks for your reply! once again I reiterate that you do not have to answer my questions .. but you have not answered my question: are all leather from Furniture Club made in Italy?

Anyone knows if HTL is having a storewide sales for CNY?
  3. I quote your ad on Singapore Tatler Homes Dec-Jan 2011 Issue for Calia Italia which is marketed under your company: it says 'Everything is Italian, except the price' - I know that Calia Italia is an Italian Brand, but can you confirm that it is made in Italy and not China? Also you are claiming that not all your leather found in your stores are made in Italy? Note: You do not have to answer my questions.
  4. Hi Jerry, sorry for the misunderstanding. So you mean your Leather is not from Italy afterall? I happened to see your advertisement, and it may be misleading to use the techline ' everthing is from Italy, except the price'. I hope you won't sue me for this.
  5. Hey Jeddie, do you remember which FC store you bought the leather sofa from? Thick Leather can last a very long time, and according to FC, they buy their leather from Italy.. So if it peels you should get them replace you, otherwise you should get CASE to see if they have misrepresented in anyway... 3.5k is not cheap!

So hows the warehouse sale? what are their prices like? I think their quality is quite good, so far I have not seen much negative feedbacks on this brand.
  7. It is better to approach Small Claims Tribunal if you want refund... CASE may not have the power to enforce refunds.
  8. It seems like nowadays furniture retailers are waging all out war on consumers..
  9. The finishing looks very good and edges are not sharp, certainly very child friendly. Looks better than those at IKEA...

    Domicil

Domicil(subsi of HTL) and HTL definitely more reputable brands... HTL has been around for more than 3 decades.
  11. HTL is the 3rd largest Sofa Maker IN THE WORLD... it is safer to buy from renown manufacturers than Fly-by-night Ikan Bilis retailers.. at least you get to see your sofa delivered
  12. What I meant was I have seen people move pianos across Laminates. The metal rollers would definitely damage normal timber flooring. With regards to office chairs, I guess over long term, there would probably damage the laminate. There are also many grades of laminate, some are for commercial use, which are thicker. Go to Goodrich, they sell many grades of laminate.
  13. Laminate floors are very durable, I have seen people roll Pianos over it, and no problem.. In shopping Centers alot of shops use them, and customers can wear heels and walk over, no problem. The only thing is Laminates looks cheaper than Timber flooring. And laminate is not very water resistant. For example, high end resorts will never use Laminates, only carpets or timber flooring.
  14. I must admit, nowadays the quality of timber flooring and parquet, even marble at new condominiums are quite bad. Even if you use special protectors or guards, it will still scratch somehow. High quality laminate floorings might be able to withstand scratches better, brands like Pergo and Kronotex. Otherwise, good to buy a rug and place below the chairs.

    Dryer

thanks for your tips.. problem is, I tried to dry only 1 fitted sheet and the auto sensor automatically shuts off after 1 hour. It is still slightly damp. I thought maybe if it is still damp, the dryer will run longer till it is completely dry. How long do you run your dryer? Thanks in advance.
  16. I just bought a Fisher and Paykel dryer two weeks ago with an Auto sensor. I always put at 'Extra Dry' mode. Problem is, it still come out damp, and the auto sensor would stop the machine. Anybody got experience with dryers?
  17. Anyone knows how much bretz at parkmall is selling this?
  18. They did not state the price. It was on the 'Invest Section' of the sunday times and they were doing a short article on the couple staying at Pinnacle@duxton. The Calypso was very well displayed and the living room looks pretty big. The four room flat only cost $500K!
  19. I think they have discontinued the $1,999, package.. or maybe its only for renotalk forum members..

    Cellini

    What sofa? 3 seater?
  21. Black Calypso Sofa on Sunday Straits Times... did you see it?
  22. Wah Fatz, you really got grudge against FC... you from Montella?
  23. Hi NewSAHM, Honestly, I have never taken a close up look at the patterns on the white table you mentioned you saw at Cellini. But I did catch a glimpse of it. I think most importantly the concept matches your theme. If the floral motifs aren't too intricate or obvious, then you should be on the 'safe' side. As long as you like it, it will look great
  24. I was at Cellini the other day, helping my client to select some sofas and dining table. We went for the Flow sofas and bed but for the Console we chose a Gloss Black one instead of the HPL Laminate you mentioned above. As for the Dining, we went for the Walnut Veneer one. I do mainly refurbishment for Hotel projects, but sometimes my clients want some personal favour to help coordinate their Interior Decor. My thoughts are exactly the same as yours, I think plain coloured themes are 'safe' and easy to coordinate. The reason is usually after you shift in, you will start adding in lots of accesories like lamps, picture frames, souvernirs etc.. Wall colour, Curtains, lighting concept is also harder to complement if you choose more intricate designs. Hence I always go for the rule that simplicity is best, but go for quality finishes. If you want to decorate and make your theme more elaborate, use Fancy Throw cushions, nice table runners and chic accessories. Should you get tired of the design, it doesn't cost alot to change it.
