Oh mine!!! your quote is so expensive. If i don't calculate wrongly, its $200 per sq feet for kitchen cabinet? And each lighting point @ 75? i got mine at 30/35 dollars only. Painting for my whole flat, 4A type, only $1200 for ceiling, walls, doors with sealant too. Your quote is almost doubled of mine for every single thing! -
your "here" doesn't work. don't know why

Read about my comment here: http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=45458&view=findpost&p=698516 that should be able to answer some of your questions regarding gas heater

hahahaha..... cos i use real pandan leaves and squeezed the juice out. not easy leh.... -
fast lah fast lah... abt 5 seconds already quite hot!!! well, a lot of contractors / ID give cheap price initially then every thing else need to add here and there....
-
there is a hole at the opposite side of the handle. what you have to do is just tilt the pan, with the handle below, and the hole at the top, then you will not have the leak. you just have to remember there is a hole then when you flip, its ok....

i would recommend tiles.... no matter how nice laminate might look but it will never have the same feel like tiles... when your MOP are near, then you invite yourself over lah. then we can talk.... or you can come by anytime you free and we can chat as friends too. -
I am May, not Mae. There is another forummer called Mae29 which happened to be a good friend after we met here. They charged me $168 for the heater plus installation. as i only have gas piping for shower (not to my stove) there are no extra charges. I am not sure whether if i install another piping to stove, would there be extra charges or not. anyway, its already done and i know i only paid $168.

hahahaha.. this is public forum. i don't want to give people ideas... hahahaha.... mine is very stable leh.... i have never changed the setting ever since i "perfected" it. and i have been using it since i moved in Apr11. its going to be 1 year and it have been working perfectly. are you sure its the heater and not your piping? Maybe the piping wasn't done properly so the heater cannot detect that you need hot water??
-
as the pic i have shown you, i also have this wall collage. but the photos are taking time to slowly make up to my wall... so now do not have that many pics but always have place to add more.

you just laugh?? i hope you understand what i typed... hehehe..

hahaahhaha... of course not! that is the best thing about gas heater. When you on the tap, then the heater will know you want hot water, then it will auto turn on the gas, then the sparker (like lighting gas stove with a match) will be activated then flame will come on. The flame will heat up the water then you have hot water from the tap. All these within seconds! so if the flame got blown off, then you just need to off the tap. Then on again, and the heater will know you want hot water, then the whole process starts again.

You know, you can just come over to visit my place anytime you are at sheng siong. then no need to read through the whole reno process and i can tell you all about it. hahahaah.... but thanks for being patience to read through the 40+ pages..... you dont' have patience for experimenting with tiles but have patience to read? hahahahaah.... -
ya, i hate to use storage too. There was once that i was using the storage and half way through, there was no more hot water. i have to wait like 10 mins in the shower for the hot water to be heated up for me to use. so upsetting! Yes, for citigas, i heard of the flame being blown off. but doesn't matter. what you need to do is just off the water tap, then on it again, and the flame will come on again. Secondly, try to install it at a place where its not so windy and thirdly, the new heater are better designed so that it will not get blown off so easily. its more like instant water heater instead of storage. no waiting time, or maybe few seconds..... to me, the most i wait is like 10 seconds? not very long..... but take note that the water heater will auto off after 15mins. this is preventive measure so that if one day your tap is leaking, then you are not wasting gas + water. So, all you need to do is just off the tap then on it again... then there will be flame again to heat your water. You can go and look at it at city gas gallery. I never been but there might be some demonstration for you. its definitely much better than electric instant heater that the water is never warm enough. Better than storage heater when you have to wait 15 mins for the water to heat up, especially in the morning when rushing to go work. so gas heater is the best option....

good idea... share share the bedroom3 for both yourself to have a WIW and your daugther too. your daughter's room will be the envy of her friends....
-
like what brianho said, only the ladies lah. hahahaah... cos it really helped to cook the food faster and with less oil.

i was just telling my indian coll to try to buy HDB instead of keep on renting. definitely more worth it to buy then to rent. So, you are more logical than me. hahaahh... i only have 1 view at night and totally in love with it. don't even wait till the daylight to view again. Since you both loved it so much, then it would be the correct choice. don't worry about it! I am using city gas. most new hdb flats are using city gas too and i know City View (the DBSS at boon keng) are all preinstalled with city gas. I like it cos i don't need to use electricity for it.... i use too much electricity for other items like hob, air con, fridge etc that i try to use something else instead of over loading with usage of electricity.
-
we have the same thinking!!! i also have some stains but i take it as wear and tear lah. cannot always expect the glass to be totally so clean until its like new. i think some of the stains can be cleaned if i scrub hard enough but that might have scratches on the glass..... since its just a little bit, and i cook quite a bit, just take it easy loh.... hehehe...

cos sometimes they get to earn extra if you don't install gas heater. from the installation of the storage heater to commission if you buy heater from his recommended place etc..... and also, if you use gas heater, then he have to help to coordinate for you with city gas. a bit more troublesome than his sub-con that they know.
-
Yes, especially frying fish. No need to worry abt the oil and smoke. Haha....
