Like I say, abt 5-6 coats for darker tones mah. So 6 is normal loh. You say 9 to mislead aya. Naughty!

Cos you change colour that's why 9 coats.

Darker coloured walls are not easy to paint. Easy to see unevenness and brush lines. Maybe have to do abt 5-6 coats..... So have to see painter have the patience or not to keep on repainting it till prefect.

Laminate doors are done by our contractor. He does not specialized in doors only but whole reno.

I am not sure whether I am the only one in the whole block. But I know it's not common lah. I did it this way cos I wanted digital lock. If have gate then no point having digital lock already and I guess I trust sg police force that no one will break into my flat loh. Hehe..... Laminate sure all the way. So now u have to change the gate cos the existing cannot fit anymore? Yr contractor uncle everything also cannot sure cannot trim for u too. Just remove it lah..... See whether u can get used to it.

i think i know what you meant. you have to ask your contractor to see whether the water pipe and what other pipes are needed to rotate the way you wanted.

i had the same problem, their utensils get rusty easily. that's why i decided to buy from other places like robinsons.

clothes and books also throw away? why leh? donate it lah... books can donate away mah.... clothes and bags too. to salvation army...

usually display set, warranty is 6 months or 1 year only. not as long as new tv loh. Can know lah, when they open the box to take the tv out to install for you, you can check the box... if its original seal, then its new lah. if its been resealed then it might not be new tv loh. new tv usually no dust or finger prints, but display set, you can see its dusty cos i am sure those ppl take down from display set will not clean it throughly. especially those holes where you can see inside the electronic parts.... those parts where dust can get in but cannot be cleaned.

Ya, cos mae29 said better don't open door to new house on 12 Apr. since passed already, now you can happily open the door and take lots of photos!

i don't think the frame is expensive, its the windows panels that are expensive. so not a problem if really change loh.

if you are getting from contractor, then ask him to change. He should ask you all these minor details.... but since he didn't tell you, then ask him to change. don't accept anything you are not happy with. Dont bang wall on yourself. most of us are new to this too... i am new to this as well and i reno my own flat as a single. its even more difficult.
