yes, you can request for them to take off shoes and don't use trolley. but i am not sure whether its feasible since yours is landed and its big. if they don't use trolley then will be very difficult for them to move. the last time i moved, i personally carry all my boxes from inside the house and put it along the corridor so that can just load into the trolley and move. but those big items, then they have to come in and wrapped it then move it out. no trolley or shoes into the flat since too small for trolley.

then yesterday must be their rest day... cos i went at 9pm and the whole coffee shop is closed. haiz.... and i went at 9pm, not say it was super late. really not meant to be for me to eat their assam fish head.

that's quite fast. i think mine took nearly a week (5 days). we need plastering when the walls are uneven. for eg, mine was rockstone.... which was quite popular 15 years ago. but i prefer my walls to be smooth so need plastering.

a lot of time, the comfortable is from the bedsheet, not the bed. hotels, especially those 5* and 6* are using egyptian cotton bedsheets.... and it really makes sleeping on their bed so so comfortable. i have different bedsheets with different quality. when i using the better quality, suddenly i find my bed are so comfortable. on other types, the bed was just ok. hehehehe.... really amazed at the clouds painted in your kids room. your SO so good in drawing? wow!!

i agreed... in 2010, i was telling my friends, even with financial crisis in 2008-2009, property market only went down a little then continue uptrend. sure to burst in 2010.... but it didn't and keep on going up and up. i was proven wrong by Mr Market. Apple pie, the ledge is cemented unto the tiles, not cut away to expose cement then tiled on the cement. Meaning, after all the wall tiles are done, then only add the ledge against the finished tiles. So whether BTO or resale, it's the same. BTO have tiles, the ledge are added by cement onto the existing tiles. For resale, all wall tiles are done then only add the ledge. No cutting of tiles.... No leaving part of wall tiles bare then add the ledge onto the bare wall. Hope you understand what I am trying to say. And it would hold cos how heavy can your toiletries be? I have 4 big bottles of shampoo and conditioner (each 1 liter) plus facial wash, facial scrub etc etc with total of 12 bottles, and nothing happen to my ledge. The tiler even show me how he press hard on the ledge but still hold. So not to worry, it would hold!

warping only occurs for wood material like laminate.... should not happen for tiles. For tiles, it would be popping if the cement are not done properly. They say tiles would warp if the tiles are not manufactured correctly, that means, at factory, they are not straight. So it seem like a bit of U-shaped..... and if tiler skill is not good, then the putting on cement are uneven, then you will have uneven tiles, not warp tiles. the bigger piece, the easier for it to be uneven (one side more cement, another side less cement). checking of hollow tiles, you can buy the tool from hardware shop or use coins or for floor tiles, be like me. Wear high heels and walk around, you will hear the difference if there is hollow tiles. checking of unevenness, then you just have to check the corners.... the 1 piece connecting to 3 other pieces are even when you feel with your hands.

for the ledge, no need to cut into the wall. its just cemented onto the existing tiles.

you will love the seater.... there are times that i just sit there to enjoy my shower. interesting vanity top! they build that using tiles? how does that work?
