  1. of course i did considered marble.... i gave additional point (i assess flats i view by point system so those above 80 will be considered for purchase) for flats with marble flooring when i went around viewing. but not many have marble..... and to do it during reno, was just too ex. cannot afford it leh..... too poor lah...
  2. Flooring for whole flat + both flooring and wall for kitchen and toilets are about 14-18k depending on how ex is your tiles. painting whole 5 room about 1.5k. Hacking old flooring + half wall of entertainment room + kitchen and toilets another 3-4k. then changing of all doors/windows will depends on how many windows you have and mine was around 4k without changing living + 1 of the room windows so for yours, easily another 5k. haven't consider kitchen cabinets plus glass wall for the entertainment.
  3. i have cove lights and after 1.5 years staying at my place, there are lots of dust on the cove ights but not much "sai" as you think. so rest assured, its ok.
  4. 35k COV is very good leh especially for a 5room flat that is near mrt and high floor. so its on decreasing trend lah.... Congrats!!

  6. yes, i agreed. I think girls would understand better the illusion of bigger space like wearing clothes. because its same tiles throughout, most of my friends that came to my house feels its much bigger. flooring is the 2nd biggest piece in the home other than walls. so when its continuously 1 tile throughout, it makes the floor area seem bigger.

IPHONE 5 first time i have to queue for 11 hours plus to get my hands on the latest iphone 5. pros : 1) faster and faster... everything seem to be faster for the phone itself and the network (4G). opening a hdb page is faster on my iphone than on my office IE. 2) Maintain the width so that my fingers still can touch all over the screen without any problem (bigger screen then its not possible to do hold in 1 hand and touch all over the screen) 3) Easy to clone iphone 5 based on my iphone 4S. took less than 30 mins to get exact same thing from my 4S to my iphone 5. 4) lighter and sleek - the weight is definitely much lighter now and it looks so sleek\ 5) based on "android authority" drop test (can search youtube on these), iphone 5 can survive dropping even from 6ft. cons: 1) battery power is better but not as good as i wished. wanted it to last 10 hours, but can only last abt 6-7 hours. 2) Apple map is not as accurate as google map but the 3D view is much better 3) the linked to facebook is giving me problems, creating too many duplicated names in my contact list which i do not want. so in the end i didn't link to facebook. so forummers out that interested in iphone 5, definitely a good buy!
  11. I have same tiles from kitchen to living and bedrooms. It's makes the whole place very spacious but you have to be careful when choosing tiles. The tile must be suitable for kitchen (not slippery) and yet cosy for bedrooms.

  15. my laminated in my bedroom have dents also from my dropped golf balls. but my tiles are fine... so tiles are as hardy too. bed? single or king? hahahaah.... if king, then can consider....
  16. the $30k subsidy is for buying resale as buying resale need to pay for higher valuation. so if you are buying from HDB directly, the valuation is lower than what is resale. so in a way, you already "profit".

  18. hhhmm.... a lot of ID do bring prospoect to view before signing. my house have been used quite a few times for my ID to bring prospects. each ID do it differently i guess. if the contract that you are doing is not big, they might not want to spend so much time. if the value/profit is quite good, then they sure will bring. the same as drawing too.....
