My bed is facing the feature wall so my "headboard" is the windows..... No leh, after partition off, i left with 1.5 room only..... cos i use 0.5 room for my WIW.

SANITARY WARES Long long ago, at page 10 of my t-blog, i mentioned slightly about my purchase for sanitaryware. Basically i went to 3 places for all my sanitaryware. But today, i went to the 4th place, Hoe Kee. What did i get at Hoe Kee? I got my kitchen sink.... FINALLY!!! If you have follow my blog, i have bought everything except for my kitchen sick. Why do i take so long? Initially wanted to have 2 sinks, one on my island, and one on the same row as my hob. But to do this, my island will become smaller and doesn't make sense to waste that space for a sink. So, finally will have it only at the same row as my hob. But i cannot accept too small a sink. So, i want to make sure my cabinet are calculated properly before i buy my sink. So, i got mine now.... So today i went all places i got my stuff to pay for the remaining amount + confirm delivery date + change anything i do not want anymore. hehehhe......

RENOVATION DAY 21 : WIW My initial plan is to have my WIW that are using pillars of woods, about an 1inch x 1 inch, with gap in between. So i can see through to my wardrobe area but not really can see everything. Just this few pillars alone, will cost me $2k, as quoted by ID when i was choosing ID for my reno. So in the end, i drop that idea but did something cheap and simple, PARTITION WALL!!! By doing this, i still able to have my WIW, just not as nice as i wanted it to be. So, after 3-4 years later, i will take down the partition and do this pillars that i wanted. Not full reno, just partial..... can't do everything at same time as $$$$ are limited. Here is the pic of the partition.... will be painted to the colour that i wanted. You can see workers trying to do the box up so that my headboard will be same width as the pillar to put my 2 king beds. Simple MBR, no fanciful headboard or wall paper. Just a big platform for 2 king beds. Simple wish, isn't it?

mine place is smaller than yours. that is why faster... and you have more work than mine too. Yes, i haven't really pack too... just a few boxes here and there..... don't know whether i have time to pack for all. need to take more leave..... but thank goodness this coming fri is a public holiday. can stay at home to pack...hehehe... ok, we arrange one day to visit your place... and if no GE on 21st may, you come too then you can see the rest of active forummers like mae29, friends78, marshmallow, kobelala, csingeu and whover that feels like coming to see my MBR.

Ya, a lot of things are big except for the house itself... hahaha..... its just a normal 4 room flat, not EM or EA and not even a 5 room. hahahaha.... so the "huge" is still limited to the size of the flat.

4 doors of 900mm is big lah.... and you might get to steal the other 2 from your hubby... so in the end still have 6 doors. hahahaha..... your parents house is very big to have 6-7 doors just for your wardrobe leh...hahahaha....

there bound to be some that will like your designs.... and through what the photographer shown you, can see its really nice, right? hahaha.....

My fridge is too big for my main door too. My 1st choice of fridge was so big that it cannot fit in. My 2nd choice can only fit in after dismantle the doors. Shouldn't be a problem cos they do this all the time.

Yup, my fridge width is quite wide... I have a big fridge.

Ya, I also don't want 3D but nowadays all tv also 3D.

Everything will look nice under the eyes of good photographer. Each house is unique and have beautiful corners so if good photographer knows how to capture that, then will be wonderful loh. I guess through here is the only way that the reporter can get flats to be featured. Or else how to find flats to be featured on Sunday times on weekly basis? The team also wont know who did renovation.... Only through here.

RENOVATION DAY 20: PHOTOS Today another busy day.... so only managed to go to my flat at 10pm. although the whole place is very dark, the corridor light manage to shine in as well. So i took a few photos to show how its current state..... Even though its not very bright but i still manage to spot 2 mistakes. Renovation for so many days, never had a single mistake until today. So i am a bit disturb with 2 mistakes today which i hope will be able to be rectified soon before all box up are being done or else no chance to rectify them anymore. 1) i have a hanging light in my bedroom, at the platform which should be nearer to the window, not right in the middle of the room 2) aircon piping to toilet is spoiling my nice tiles. the piping is done the wrong way.... simple stuff and i think can be easily rectified. Just get the correct people to do it.

the hanging light is not for dining? what is the hanging light for? How much and where you get it?

when will it be featured huh? i want to go buy the newspaper to see!!!

ya, grilles is just for better prevention. If they already target your house, grilles or no grilles, they also will come loh.

hahahah... no, you didn't remember wrongly. tiler are by my contractor... electrician i source myself. for electrician, i can't tell you whether good or not until later part. But for ID and tiler, i can pm you later.

painting next week, then carpentry and then all touch up....

Thanks for your compliment. I know i am going to stay here for the next 20 years at least that i have to be sure that everything are done to my current and future lifestyle. That is what a house suppose to be... to make it into a home where you can totally relax after a whole day at work. Maybe i have been moving so much that i can't call a place my own until now. My t-blog have a lot of nonsense too... hahahaha.. all those chats with friends here. You really patience to read from 1st page to now....

luckily we have iphones.... so marshy, time to get iphone.
