I am not sure but I think only one side have storage against the wall is like cabinet linked to platform? U know what I mean? Or else, you just do it and hope that hdb don't know loh. Just like driving, red light means stop but some people still drive on. If get caught then get saman. If not, then lucky loh. Hehe....

hhmmm... systemind platform for 4.5k is quite ex but since its solid wood, then i think its ok. mine was 2k for 4.5mx3m. but the height was only 10cm. any higher alraedy breach the height limit that are allowed by HDB for the distance between platform to the windows. you say its just right for the windows.... that would means that your windows are quite high... from floor to the start of the window is 1.3m? how much roughly for the systemind platform? it looks nice... but the height seem a bit too high leh... not sure whether its ok if you have it next to the windows. i think there are height limit of platform if its next to windows. Things you wanted seem very nice and high class... hahahaha.... hoffen kitchen looks fantastic!! you need to talk to many ID/contractor before you will find one you are comfortable with to do your reno. its not easy.... that is why most headache is to find the right person. ALL THE BEST!!

if incl blum track and hinges, its really cheap!!! another forummer paid over $1k just for the blum tracks and hinges.

coffee table could be termites.... or even mold bugs. that is what marshmallow told me. her study table are full of mold bugs cos her study table have molds. it was quite scary..... why all the furniture have so many problems? is it due to manufactured in china? study tables with mold, wardrobe with mold, and now sofa with weird bugs and coffee table with bugs too.

Wow!! Even Cellini also like that kind of attitude??

Finally found your t-blog. nice to have ceiling fans in all bedrooms, really make the room more airy and its much easier to clean like we mentioned at sleek's place. Hope you have a smooth reno.... you can view my blog if you have time.

i also have special coloured internal too.... but i didn't pay extra, my contractor absorb the costs. but the guest room, don't have this. hope it won't get mouldy lah....

custom made doesn't mean won't have mold, as what marshmallow said. but the chances are lower lah... anyway, don't be sad.... a lesson learnt which you will remember for a long long time.

i have been waiting and waiting for resale unit to drop in COV but it never did... no choice, need a roof over my head so got to buy even though heartache. But after a year, i have no regret cos if i buy now, COV only higher.... if you have a roof over your head, then keep waiting..... but it might not go down so....

so finally decided to do a wardrobe instead of buying off the shelf? hhhmm... can't wait.....

as i also knocked down the wall, there was a beam... and to cover it up, i make a cove lighting so that is covered up.... my island is 10ft long... not the longest but i think is already quite long for a hdb. there are a lot of islands available here on RT. I think almost everyone that can have an island, sure to have.... depends on whether its long or short... hehehehe... enjoy your research!!

Congrats in starting your own T-blog. I am sure you will be able to reno your place to your own liking even though low in budget. Don't be dishearten.... we are all here to help and give advise.

Nice big kitchen you will have. You can have a look at my house Reno then you will see my island. The island also is my dining table.... Very useful when family and friends come visiting.

for the fan with lighting kit, you are right. it will make you dizzy and the light is not very bright. and i think its quite ugly.... after you have done all the nice reno you are going to do, you will spoilt the looks with this fan.... hehehe... if you clean the WIW often enough, then it won't have so much dust lah... i also have my windows open everyday to my WIW (small gap only). but i get my cleaning aunty to wipe the place every week so it will not be dusty loh... hehehe.... of course it would look nice with glass door. But glass doors for sliding is very ex due to the mechanism. if you have the budget, then go for it.....
