the contractor have to tell the workers off lah. my contractor quite good, he told me he told the workers to use only common toilet and make sure its clean after using.

if says will come, then should be trustworthy enough to come lah. if this kind of excuses, hhhmmmm....... i agreed with you on that once or twice it happens, then can close 1 eye but too often really make it not trustworthy anymore.

4 weeks to complete reno, is a bit too fast lah. most of the time its abt 6-8 weeks lah. relax lah, when you need to move in? if not urgent, don't stress your contractor so much lah.

it looks like 30cm x 60cm so its longish..... the grout lines appear visible cos its not so white? or against the beigh, it looks whiter? from pic, really cannot tell lah... you ask your contractor to see what can be done.

i agreed.... marble flooring still looks wonderful and definitely worth keeping. i always wanted marble flooring but didnt manage to find a suitable unit with marble flooring. So, keep it.. not only save money but also having marble flooring really make the whole unit looks very high class!

For looking at ID / contractors, depends on when you want to move in. If you have right deadline, ie 6 weeks after 2nd appt then you better start looking now. No need to wait after 1st appt but only sign contract with ID after 1st just in case sales didn't go through. For exact quote, you get a few to quotes based on floor plan then the one you more or less wanted, then only get exact quote by arranging contractor to the flat. When you are comparing quotes, just remember to stated the exact same dimension. That means your floor plan stated 10feet cabinet, ask all contractors to quote exactly the same. Easier to compare.

i have plastered walls and i use 3M Command Picture hanging strips. I have taken down some of my pictures before. It doesn't make the wall come off together nor the paint. Everything still intact..... The right wall in this pictures shows the amount of pictures i had... and i took down 3 of it before and then hang them up again (due to mediacorp shooting). No problem at all!

That is why they said that choosing the right ID / Contractor is very important. Some things, cannot be measured by money. Like someone mentioned before, cheap might not be lowest quality, expensive doesn't mean its good. Hope things will be smoother for you going forward.

if you want to do touch up yourself, i am sure your contractor will be more than happy to leave the paint there loh. or else asking the painter to come back will cost additional 1 day salary. hahaahaah...

WALK IN WARDROBE (WIW) I see a lot of questions regarding WIW. Whether it would it dusty or moldy? whether its difficult to maintain or its ok. This is my personal experience after using my WIW for 1.5 years. Why i choose WIW without door? I think most women have the same dream, to have a big WIW and able to display all their wonderful clothings. That was my dream too so i decided to use a whole wall on my MBR as WIW. As there is a partition between my WIW and my bed, i do not find a need for a door. And its easier to look at my clothings without door since i can see all at one go. What about mold and dust? That was my worry initially too. a WIW without door means it will be dusty. so the solution is not to open the windows. But that would make it stuffy so i have my window open partially. And i get my cleaner to wipe the WIW once a month. For mold, i don't know whether i am fortunate or the quality is good. My WIW was done by my contractor and the quality is really good. Drawers are stable, not shaky even though its quite big. The laminate are done well, cannot see any unevenness or scratches. So, till now, there are no mold at all even though its link to the toilet. And my toilet do not have fan extractor and yet no problem with mold.

hhmmm..... usually the 1st paint is like that. Once all the cabinet is up, then the painter will come again to touch up and make all nice nice again loh.... actually my painter came 4 times or so leh. 1st time, painted 2 days. then after cabinets is up, he came back to touch up but came a bit too late so didn't finish all. So he came again to touch up. then after moving in, got dirty by movers, he came to touch up again. For my purple wall, cos its dark coloured, he painted 6 layers. So you can ask your contractor whether the painter will come back to touch up or not.
