Congrats in starting your tblog!! Nowadays kitchen are all super small..... Really don't understand why hdb built it this way. They think everyone eat out all the time.
-
No power lah.... Just a helpless woman trying to make the best home she knows how. Hehe.... Don't worry, I will ask him to take care of u.
-
My electrician was very fast. Took them 1.5 days to fix all wiring!! I was amazed at the speed too.
-
Yup smart tv lah.....
-
To make you feel better, my led 55" is nearly 4k
-
Are you copying what was written in my tblog?? Haha.... A few ppl commented that I can open a class too. But, no students yet. I think every one know that no need class cos its actually very easy. Hehe..... The next time you meet, then talk about designs.... Abt materials and even though you might know a lot, listen to him. After all, he is in this line for years. Pat his ego a bit then pretend to be helpless (single lady staying alone) then he will do his best for you. I know him well enough..... Haha.... Even now I need some repainting, he will do it for me for free!!

All women knows how to "teah". It comes naturally in their voice. Haha.... Just speak a bit softer, drag your end words a bit longer and give an innocent big eyes look. Then you are good to go..... Haha.....
-
My contractor also gives me 3d drawing but I still won't call him ID. Haha.... It's just a high class name.
-
Yours is led, plasma always cheaper and LCD is even cheaper.
-
Thanks for listening to me too. Hehe.... Especially women, we can always "teah" and men will be soft hearted. Haha....

Haha... I don't know what he meant too. Maybe my expectation very low, as long as the design I wanted are done then generally I am quite ok. And I don't discuss the pricing with him until I see the quote. I get quote from everywhere, 9 quotes before I decide. After that only I try to get more discounts from him. Just like interviewing for a job, we discuss work, expectation, rapport, and everything else other than salary. After a few rounds then only the salary discussion comes in. For them, each new potential customer are like interview for him. The better rapport you have with him, the higher chance you will get better pricing. After all, they are human with feelings too. They get satisfaction from a job well done... After a while, it's not just the money but also the satisfaction they get when they able to transform a cold flat into a warm home. They will be proud to show off to other potential customers too, just like I am proud to show off my home. Hehe..... So my advise, don't ask too much abt pricing until you build the rapport and convey your expectation. Then you will have a smooth renovation within your budget! And then everyone will be happy..... That's how I got so many foc things from him. If after a few discussion and certain items you want to outsource, then you can. I outsource my own electrician too. And Renotalk is a place you can find cheaper alternative, if he can't provide what you wanted at the price you wanted.

if you don't need their design work, then they are called contractors. Haha.... Your definition and mine are different. In sg, 90% of ID are actually just contractors. Just like most financial advisors are insurance agents. Anyway will PM you my ID info then. You can get quote and share ideas....
-
How many contractors you go to?? Need me to intro??
-
Just wait and see loh..... see your contractor whether will over your budget. dont sound so sad lah...

its normal for mummies to want more space to store things..... some of the things actually can throw away already... so if you don't have enough storage then can always check for items to be thrown away. -
i prefer this lay out... hahaah...

my lawyer are hired by the bank that i took the loan. if you are taking bank loan, then your bank would hire one for you since they are paying for most of the fees..... part of the package in taking bank loan. Then the rest of the balance not covered by bank, i use cpf.... which is quite little compared to what bank subsidied lah.... then no need to worry about lawyer fees loh.
-
alone can buy this? i thought its a new flat? you are buying on resale?? if i know alone can get this, i would look into this as well....
-
a lot of ppl are interested in the peephole. hahahah...
