  1. Some ppl don't know what is fiber optic that's why never take it. Why you ask your electrician to install the real fiber??
  2. i still owe you the pic of my toilet bowl. i forgot how to post pic here... if you don't mind, pm me yr number and i will whatsapp you. My toilet bowl brand is friven.

  4. ya loh, i also think its such a big big place for 2 person. hahahaha.... how lucky, right?
  5. Are you sure you electrician laid fiber optic? Only opennet allowed to lay the cables plus the termination point. My electrician only lay fake cable for fiber optic, for opennet to lay the real when they come. My friend also got free installation cos she has been using Singtel for years. It's upgrade from adsl broadband to fiber.

  8. no ah, i never intro that shop before... i think was someone else lah.... for oven, usually in feb/march is Mayer warehouse sales. worth going to look for all the brands under Mayer like ariston, mayer etc..... and price is about 40% cheaper.... for toilet, you can look at those i recommended.....
  9. what? 85k for COV? i don't think that is ever going to happen..... some seller are not serious. they just want to test market and also if get sold for what they want, then they will move. or else, just stay on. crazy! just like what was posted on Straits times, this couple wanting 100k COV for their flat at bishan... even when someone offer 85k, they also didn't want.
  10. Its easy to get excited.. .especially its your first home.... i totally understand that. So take it slowly to look think of your design and know what exactly you want. that way, its easier for you to communicate with your contractor.
  11. hahaahha.... i know its a him but i don't know his exact bday though. hehehehe.... you are too good in guessing game. before i started renotalk, i already did my research through home decor mag for past 2 years... so also considered as kiasu, right?
  12. Interesting fan!!! totally different..... tell us when you use it whether the wind is strong enuogh... cannot imagine how it would be....
  13. i like your girl's bedroom
  14. Wow!! Cov 20k for 1.5 years flat?? Very worth it, some more so good location!!!
  15. 6 weeks schedule, quite ok. Seem like doing a lot leh.
  16. Hahahaha.... its ok... that is why i was thinking, where is BB and why you say i already done so much. i already finished reno and moved in for months.
  17. Hi Chasey... nice to see you on my tblog. Hmmm... where is BB? I am at BK = boon keng. i have moved into my place since apr 2011...... No, i don't engage fengshui for my house. i did the place according to the way i like it.... the way i dreamt about it.... its my dream since many years ago.
  18. now i seen your place, really retro! But why have it as weekend home?
  19. No worries, there will be more for you to spend on... hahaahah....
  20. hahaa... thanks.... when i buy 60", i will let you know!
  21. hi GoalHome, cannot pm you. your mailbox is full? Anyway, i can put it here. i got my appeal cos i told hdb why i need to buy a flat, which was because i got no place to stay. And i told them that to rent a flat is too expensive. On top of it, it was oct 2010, and during that time, everyone knows election would be 2011 so i think it makes a difference to hdb to be "generous" during that time.
  22. I recommend but also depends on whether the chemistry between you are there. that is something i cannot control! i am happy to see people having fun doing reno cos its an experience one do not have often (maybe 2-3 times only in a lifetime)
  23. sis mae, then we will meet again at NeoBY house (i am inviting myself there too).
  24. Yup yup.... i can guess your age, that is why i know we are ard the same age although i am younger than you.... I OTP in Oct 2010, 1st appt in Jan 2011 but i started reading renotalk since Dec 2010. Is that kiasu? hahahaha.... i guessed moving ard for years have taken its toil on me. All i wanted was to settle down in my own home and that is why i was so kiasu too. I already have the vision of my home before i went flat viewing so when i confirmed the flat, i had 90% of the design finalised. So it was quite fast that i decide on my contractor!! the one that able to catch my dream and i know for sure he can put it to reality is the one i chosen. Of course price wise also play a part but the rapport with my contractor makes me trust him that he will not add more costs to my reno. So in the end, my reno is as what was quoted! So all the best to you! don't just look at the pricing cos the cheapest now might not be at the end if your chosen contractor keep on adding and adding more costs. Traits of dragon! I am also the same, i went to look at flats even before my appeal letter went to HDB. Then i was quite bad, i lied to all property agents that i am already 35 or else, they will not bring me go look at flats. And when i saw this flat, it was like falling in love at first sight It was a thursday night when i saw that flat, that next day, i quickly call HDB officer in charged of my case. Before i could ask her anything, she told me i gotten the approval! I was literally jumping with joy in office that my colleagues thought i gone crazy. Hahahaha......
