your contractor never tell you that should do painting first before installation of aircon? he should be liaising with the aircon company mah. mine did, i don't need to worry or when to arrange aircon installation. i just give my contractor the info and he will do the coordination so that the painting and installation of aircon done in correct order.

all coming together very nicely... just need to wait for the countertop.

different brand laminate have different sizes, you can see from the booklet.... even same brand, different pattern sometimes also different sizes. when paste together, have to see how good is the carpentry already. mine have joining together and for darker tones, cannot see the line. for lighter tones, can see a bit.... but i am not really bothered with it.

ceiling that are not fully boxed up, then can put cove lightings. Fully boxed up, then can only put downlights. depends on what you want, some ppl like cove lights as the lightings can create very romantic mood.... for eg, if you have the RGB LED lights....

not all aircon companies willing to come 2 times... so that is why they would prefer to do piping then installation of aircon all at same day. put masking tapes also might not cover all the area behind the aircon leh... see carefully sure can see unpainted walls / area

then you tell your contractor that you need everything to be done before 28th, incl washing the floor loh. mine is bottom mount so sink was there before the countertop. prefer bottom mount.

no lah, just the countertop only. what messy that you mean? because i was moving on that day as well... when i reached my place with my movers (i took the lorry with them) the place was fully done nicely. dust sure have but not much... and with all my moving of boxes and boxes and movers going in and out, i also don't know the dust is from them or from morning installation of counter top.

i know the feeling... well, everything can be done while waiting for the counter top. my counter top was the last to install. everything was done, chemical wash etc etc and the day i move in (friday), only then the countertop was installed. it took them less than 1 hour to do that..... before my movers manage to move everything into the lorry to go to new place, the countertop already done. so when i reach my place, abt 1pm, everything was perfect. So it can happen for you too. getting all your furniture and things to come in.... you can live in the place even without countertop. no worries.

i saw somewhere having nearly similar kind of tile..... very interesting indeed.
