Congrats in getting your own flat. its always good to get own then keep on paying rental. i seen the photos, its not as bad... doesn't look as dirty as some of those here. And i have been to 1 flat when i was viewing, its very smelly as well. the dirt in the house is much worse than what you shown in the pic.... the toilet is totally black all over, at least yours still can see some white tiles. Each step i took, there are like 10 cockroaches running around... those small cockroaches, not big one. So, i am sure the potential is there since its high floor with reasonable COV. dont worry too much.... after reno, everything will look good!

i agreed with you, taichipanda. but the problem is, a lot of people just want the cheapest without caring for the workmanship. Even if they do care, the contractor can bring them to owners that paid more than $100pfr, then they would think that what they paying is the same as those paying more cos its the same contractor.

What is a double bed? I only know single, super single, queen, king and super king. How big is double? Have John little sales? The bedsheets there usually very cheap but not sure your thickness can find easily or not. I have to stop looking at bedsheet already. Hehe...

i just think that instant heater not good.... i used a few brands and all also i think not good enough when weather is cold.. or you just woke up after sleeping in air con room, then the hot water is never hot enough.

17"? that is super thick loh.... the mattress sure very heavy.... ya, i think really really difficult to buy bedsheet. not all upgraded lift will be big enough to fit in a thick king bed. hehehe.... well, at least now you know so next time don't get so thick then maybe can fit in loh. hehehe....

Yup yup, I used instant heater for 3 years before moving here. Cold days are quite unbearable with instant heater as the hot water not warm enough.
