$6k for a tv console? i paid $630 for a tv console and its 5ft so for $5k, can be 50ft tv console! Ya, better to go small claim tribunal or else they think doing something so simple can charge so high. potatoes, petal paid deposit for 1 company then decided to go for another contractor. i think she is ok with the one that finally did her reno, but not the 1st company she paid deposit to. now, trying to get back the deposit and only way is to do some carpentry but the company playing punk. Simply charge so high

double congrats! going to have a baby dragon gal..... you put there as washing machine and dryer. For washing machine, you can get top load, but i have not seen a top load dryer. all are front opening so i am not sure whether you can put both dryer and washing machine side by side with only 0.4m space only. And you can't stack your dryer on top of your washer since your washer is top load. Like what potatoes said, where is your store room? you will need a store room to put all kind of stuff unless your playroom is cum store room as well (which is not advisable since your kids will be inside playing). i see you have 2 sided to full height cabinet..... is one of it so called store area?

Stainless steel sink have both top mount and undermount. Depends on which type you choose when you are buying. Most ppl prefer top mount so there are more models that are top mount.

did you ask your ID to go on site? if go on site, then sure will be more accurate loh... i also have the same worry but then my contractor went with me to the flat (with seller approval) and did a lot of measurement. so my reno is quite accurate, the only VO is because i wanted some additional box up which i told you just now. once reno start, then those places you thought you can live with it without box up, you will want to box up too... hehehe... so will have VO on these.

most of the time, those older flats are repossessed flats by HDB. like what Alisa said, many reasons why HDB repossessed back the flat. but definitely not "cannot finish selling" cos i don't think 38 years also cannot finish selling lah...hehehehehe..... some people takes longer, some shorter. depending on whether you have keys already or not. if you have your keys already, then the quote will be more accurate as you can see all pipes and beams if you want to box up and hide them. but if only based on floor plan, then there will be some VO which should not be a lot if you no need to box up if during reno you don't want VO.

i learnt baking is so that i can bake my own cakes and cakes that i like to eat (ie pandan chiffon and durian chiffon). i learnt making ice cream so that i can control amt of sugar and cream and yet with the freshest ingredients. so now i learn golf to enjoy the sceneries.... heheeehe..... its fun! i usually play at marina bay golf course.

Congrats in getting your flat!! i am helping a friend to get a flat in hougang and i have never seen one with your layout. may i know which part of hougang have this layout? I like the purple kitchen! unique colour for a kitchen.

maybe yr dear hubby wants to show off the granite ledge for putting shampoos instead of buying those stainless steel / plastic type? really like your MBR toilet.. the tiles very nice and you can put some plants as well. will make it so cosy.

Nice innovative glass door! I wanted this too but it's not possible due to the location of the shower and entrance to toilet. At least now I know it's possible for others. Definitely very useful! Nice nice...

The living marble flooring also nice.... Not easy to get marble so should keep too. As for utility, like what Rover said, it's prefab so no hacking. And it's difficult to get approval to extend toilet/bathroom due to water proofing needed. Congrats in getting your own flat! It would be fantastic, I am sure.
