you are using Singtel ADSL? not fiber optic internet? even if you get contractor to build elevated ledge with phone point and power socket, it would only work for ADSL. Once you start using fiber optic internet, it would have to be near your tv (so that you can have paid tv via fiber optic). so i think getting a booster might be better.... for that, i also noob. hehehehe..

ya i know.... really frustrating to wait and wait... i guess you just got to be patient. keep on pressing on! then you will forget about this once you move in and enjoying yourself at the new home.

i think what pinkpluck trying to say is once you open the front door, you only see the wall of the household shelter. you have to turn slightly to the left to see where the sofa and tv would be placed.

they were not keen too and you were also not keen but MIL's insist? then i guess they sort of doing a favour for your MIL. then its worse since they were not keen in the first place..... on top of it, not earning much as well. even more no motivation to do. this kind of situation, really headache!

i don't think its true that they are the only company that does internal laminate at market price. i am sure in whole of sg, there will be other carpentry companies that does that as well. and how to know its at market price? that is the thing about relatives. when they want or need our business / money, then they will come look for us. when everything is going on well for them, they don't even bother to say hi. that is why even though i have some relatives here in sg, i never even bother with them even when i don't have a place to stay. i don't want to be that "relative" that always need help. thank goodness i have very good siblings.... your poor hubby also stuck now. offend the relative, will offend your MIL. but if they want to delay, since its relative, no urgent to do but settle other customers first, you also no choice.

Congrats!! I am helping a friend to look around hougang area 4 room flat too. Where is yours? To answer your questions: A) it's not your flat until 2nd appt so if the owner not staying there during 7th month, you also cannot do anything. B) depends on when the seller free to do final inspection. Usually a day or 2 before 2nd appt. let your agent liaise it for you. C) you perform open ceremony when you get your keys which is during 2nd appt. D) look around here, there are a few good contractor around. My contractor is not cheap but very good but if you want cheap then he will not be suitable.

of course not lah... tandembox is not cheap leh.... and its stated $300 only and i would expect its just runner loh. the runners also partial soft closing.... no mention of hinges means casement door no soft closing. so cannot say totally don't have soft closing since got FOC blum runner. i am not saying its reasonable, i am saying there are some FOC BLUM for 3 drawers. if want to add more drawers or for casement doors to hav soft closing as well, then add $$ loh.

holland area leh... its like that. 10 years ago, rental for 3 room in other area in SG is going for $1000-$1200, holland area already getting $1600. Now the rental for 3 room is around $2k, holland area can get $2.5k leh..... so, its abt there lah....

Blum is one of the soft closing hardware which is FOC for what i see (taichipanda, see item 11.4 all the way near the end which stated FOC). The inside can be laminate but of course that means more $$$. it also stated that free hood and hob? hhhmmm..... does that means you cannot choose the type you like? hob are quite personal based on your style of cooking. as for laying of tiles, its not stated the max value of tiles you can choose. if its $2.80psf, then you will have problem choosing and have to top up. so better confirm on that.

Raised platform cannot be more than 10cm in hdb. Or else it's not legal and need to hack away when selling.

Ya but each of the item you said have to be times with different type. Foundation have bb cream, liquid foundation, double way cake and loose powder. Comb also need 2 at least.... Moisturizer also need a few type, whitening, anti acne, normal moisture, day time, night time, etc.... Toner also same.... I have 3 types of toners, moisturizer alone I have 4-5 types, then foundation also a few. Don't know how to explain. Haha..... I haven't even start with hair stuff and each type of make up and amount of eye shadows and lipsticks and blusher. So my 3 drawers plus the top also not enough loh.

there is flame lah, just that you cannot see it..... and i think the latest model, you will not be able to see the flame anymore. but for older model (like mine bought last year) i can see the flame.

can see the conceal wiring took some difficulties to be done.... that is the good thing about private properties. can hack "longkang" for wires... hdb cannot do that... either conceal by partition or else will have to see casing... nice balcony tiles.... show the pic when its all done!
