Ya, my contractor also took some of the half past 6 job that was done to my friend's house. That is why she recollects him to me. So we shall see how good he is... But if can find good one, that is more important than relying on the guarantee. But at least guarantee provide some peace of mind cos not all will change company name.

Thanks bunbun. Hmmm.... If that 15ft is the only space I have for everything then it's not really that big. If you look at my plan, I don't really have any other shelves or cabinets in my flat. of course other than the kitchen cabinets. Hehe.... I think island is cool too and the island also serve as my worktop for preparing cakes or cookies. As you can see, beside the fridge is the tall unit that I will have my oven. So if I am facing the oven, the island is behind me. Prepare, turn and put into oven. Cakes are ready, face oven, open, take out then turn and put on island. There is Abt 4ft plus of space so I think will not be too squeezy. If normal cooking, area between sink and stove is enough for preparation but if baking, at least more space at the island and friends also can sit and watch tv and talk to me at same time as I prepare to bake. Or even look at tv to follow baking channel?? Haha..... All in my dream which I pray that it will happen.

Marsh, yes, you are right. I just need some encouragement. Now I got 2... Hehe... Not all kitchens can have island cos the way hdb flats are done up. So when went viewing, I like this cos I know can have island.

thanks csingeu!!! its just that i feel better when i have some ppl saying its worthwhile. Even if no one says its ok, i guess i will still do it but have this doubt in my heart. After all, i have been wanting this before i started to look for flats. fyi - its not expensive. without the island, i will make cabinets along the wall (which this floor plan shown its hacked). and price of doing the cabinets and the island is about the same!!! that is also because i won't need to buy a dining table. So, doing island or not, the costs are the same.

I KNEW IT!!! once i tell ppl abt my 2x king beds, everyone will start to say why my house have everything that is so big.... I have my reasons for having all these things..... from choosing the right flat with the right layout all are for me to be able to have these 3 major things. At least 8 doors wardrobe, able to fit in 2xking beds and an island! sshhh.... don't tell ppl i am staying alone. too obvious!

it must be good news for cs. after sleeping on king bed, i cannot sleep back on queen bed already... not used to it and feel like i am going to fall down from the bed anytime leh.... quite bad, hor? that is why you see my master bedroom have 2 x king beds.

I think better to have king bed.... usually when you have baby, high chance baby will sleep in between. don't know why but that is how i seen it so far.... really to have the discipline to have baby on cot is very very difficult. hhmm... i thought normal wardrobe also abt 60cm? i am not so sure too... hahahhahaha..... but bring your chosen contractor to do measurement lah. they will be able to advise you better, isn't it?? ya, storeroom is a must..... too many things to keep on store room. haahahaha.....
