  6. Difficult to believe that theirs is a negative sales when prices of the flats have increase so much the last few years. if they have stayed there for at least 5 years, they would have at least have capital appreciation of 30% which should be able to cover their CPF account and outstanding balance. your 2nd appt on 9th Mar? are you going to start looking for other flats?
  7. Buying flat should be happy occassion but your seller playing this kind of trick, Haiz.... How much cov they are asking? The cov should be able to cover the outstanding, right? What will happen to their bto flat? Hope you able to solve this asap.
  8. Everyone starts with a budget. How can simply buy... Money don't grow on tree. Hehe....
  9. That brick wall is really special!! I didn't see that though when I went to hafary. Good choice!!
  10. Wow!!! Scary!! If painted wrong colour then your contractor talk nonsense again.
  11. What magic sponge is that? i also need to get one to make sure my solid surface won't have such problem too. ok lah, anytime from march 18th onwards, i will always go there to look at the renovation. maybe you can help to give some pointers too so i know what to look out for. 21st march is start of hacking..... then i don't know what else follows. the earlier you pass to me, the earlier i can do it mah... hehehehe.... then the earlier you can put in your living room. hahahaah... and you have to tell me the size of the photo you want... the longer hand is abt 20cm so the photo cannot be too small.
  12. *high five* i don't like to do it last min then won't know what i like or don't like. and my reno have to progress quickly, without delays so if i get everything, then there won't be any delay. die die also must move out after 5 weeks of renovation.
  13. hhmm....sorry to hear that your purchase is facing so many problems. at least you know it now, better than after you move in, then a lot of ah longs come spray paint on your new door. Did you ask why they want to sell the flat? maybe that would give an indication whether they are facing any financial issues.
  14. i think its quite easy, just print out the photo to the desired size then buy those diy clock and cut a small hole in the photo and put in the clock. I think that is how it works? hahahahaah......or maybe dismantle an old clock and use the mechanism to put onto the photo... hhhmm..... good idea!!! I will do one for you? how about that? Simon, still waiting for you to pass me the photos leh.
  15. Well, I am fussy maybe. Haha... My best friend went with me and after 5 shops, she wanted to give up. Hmmm.... Their sink is not that ex. I find it's ok.... Saw one at right price and size so most probably getting that. Managed to be under my budget of 3k for everything. I have to get everything ready for reno. After Reno starts, I won't want to go searching for things anymore. Just too tiring...
  16. You mean your sofa, bed, coffee table, dining table etc are less than 4k??
  17. Does the flow series come with a coffee table? Then will match perfectly.
  18. There are a few of us around that area. I am going to move there too. Friends78 and me are resale flats, not new CV.
  19. A few days I didn't update my t-blog. Since I bought my lightings from the shop that was recommended by my contractor, I felt it was too expensive. So for sanitary ware, I decided to buy from shops by myself. 1) Homeplus 2000 (312 Changi road) As I was very interested in hansgrohe products, I saw that this shop sells it. Went there to have a look and managed to buy a set at 60% off due to damage to the box. Saw toilet bowls that I like after looking for almost 6-7 shops. Pricing wise, I find it's very reasonable. 2) Imagio creation (801 north bridge road) Most of their taps are made in Italy. And quality are good and designs are different from all other shops I have been. So bought my master toilet stuff from there. 3) Hoe Kee (Tanjong katong complex) Some ok taps but many choices of kitchen sinks which I am not able to find elsewhere. So most probably will get sink from there. 4) Mayer warehouse sale Initial plan was to buy kitchenaid mixer but none was for sales. Suddenly heard a sales person shouting oven for 3 sets, special offer. Went to have a look and find that oven was reasonable priced and most importantly the inside have 1 piece glass for easy cleaning. So this weekend bought the most things and lack nothing for my reno. Hhmmm.... Except maybe another light for the cost corner in my bedroom. Created just to buy that light I like. Hehe...
  20. Sorry to hear all these bad experience. Have you move in??
  21. I am going to use city gas too. Or else electrical loading will be too high. If above 40amps, will have power trips. Always power trips not good for your electrical stuff.
  22. Yup, lucky for u. Or else you also don't know what to do with the hob. Hehe... Aircon is about 8.5amps so when you are cooking, make sure water heater + aircon are not all on together. Or else sure above 40amps.
  23. Mine is 103sqm and I also want Easy to take care and yet also unique. Not easy... My quote was initially 65k. After comparing with other contractor, it's only 45k for the one I chosen. Also reduces a few items like windows and doors.
