  2. Think I will take a look at this Philips this weekend! Thanks Jass!! :yamseng:
  3. I had the same thinking..... I also prefer 2 bowls... 70/30 it should be... I like square but I guess better let my the other half decide... hee... :sport-smiley-004:
  4. Kitchen Sink I have questions on choosing sinks. There are so many patterns in the market and I need some advise from all the experience sifu out there. 1) Undermount or self rimming? I will be using solid surface so undermount will look nicer right? Will the contractor charge me more for undermount? Since I believe it is more expensive to mount. 2) Single bowl or double bowl? Single bowl looks simple and neat but double bowl can let me store my washed plates to let it dry. or 3) If double bowl, 50/50 or 70/30? I lean towards 70/30 cos 70 can have more space for washing and 30 for storing wet plates. or 4) I saw some sink with square corners which look pro but the prices are so much more than the round one. Any idea why? Any advantage or disadvantage of using those sinks? Any advise? :dunno:

  15. Hi, came upon this thread while google for online shopping.. I plan to buy some wall clocks, simple human trash can, OXO kitchen utensil, a 8 pcs knife set from amazon. I still thinking whether to buy a cookware 10 pc set or not.. haa..... I also plan to buy Grohe taps from iceprice.com as that site is cheaper than amazon and amazon don't have the full range. Can I know the site you purchase your Miele appliances? I'm looking at their vacuum cleaner
  16. There is a thing called Reno permit? Oh no... And Cement screed another month? I check my mail box last night, still no letter from HDB.. sigh... SO many of the BLK A neighbours had already got their letter to collect keys on 28 Feb but no news for me... How does the process works? 1) Receive HDB letter to collect keys 2) Collect keys from HDB. Is the HDB loan also settle on the same day? 3) Open door and throw pineapple 4) Apply for reno permit? Will the ID do that? How to do it? 5) Apply for cement creed? One question. Can the reno start before the cement creed?
  17. I had always like Bosch washing machine and would like to own one. SO guess my happiness when there is a promotion when u buy bosch washer, they give u a free vacuum cleaner and when u buy a Bosch dryer, they give you a free iron! I was like, WOW!! Shiok leh.... own 4 Bosch products at one time... But who knows all of a sudden in Feb, the promotion ended.................. :bangwall: My gf was like,"See la... we waited for wat?" So I am out hunting for a vacuum cleaner. I google here google there, one name always pop out, Miele. So I decided to check them out. I notice Miele sale person are more on the ball. Once you walk a bit close to into their radar range, they will start their sale pitch. And they are able to answer most of my technical questions... not bad.. guess the commission must be good!!! Anyway, I had always thought of Miele as premium product as they are made in Germany. So guess my surprise when there is cleaner selling for $328 with 1600W... A bit about this S2121. This the cheapest of the current Miele vacuum. It comes in Mango Red color. It is using a bigger 4.5l dustbag compare to S6000 series. It is using the same type of filters with the S6000 series. And it is surprising light at 5.85kg even though it is bigger size than the S6000 series. Interesting..... Then I see the S6210. A bit about this S6210. This is the next in line after S2121. It is using a 2000W motor. It comes in chilli red color... :dribble: It is using a smaller 3.5l dustbag. Slightly heavier at 6.5kg. It looks small, sharp and really appeal to me... The red is sexy, the curves are :dribble: ..... But it cost $100 more at $428.... Is the prices for Miele fixed? Can we get this anywhere else? Like neighborhood electrical shop?
  18. Love your WIW..... We are also doing something similar.. except there is no island cabinet.... I also notice your living rm is pretty wide for a new flat. is it 5 rm?
  19. Hi, If you hack the wall and place the cupboard there, I think your bedroom door may obstruct the cupboard door. Opening of bedroom door need to be careful as it may hit against the cupboard...

  22. Just now went JP HN to check out the Bosch washing machine and dryer. I was looking at these 2 8kg washer 24468 & 20460. But I can't find 20460 and the saleman said 24468 don't have promotion now. Now the promotion is on 28448. $1999 - $300 HN voucher plus a Bosch vacuum cleaner! Sound good! KIV.. For dryer, I was looking at 86515 ($1599) & 84101 (1299). Then the saleman ask me if I will be using the dryer everyday. I say probably twice a week. He then recommend 74100ME which cost only $799. The only thing is the dryer is vented. So everytime I dry my clothes, I must pull the hose out of the windows. Also KIV. WOnder if anyone is using this package, washer 28448 & dryer 74100ME. Any comments?
