It is difficult to gauge noise. My quiet may not be your quiet. But at speed 3, I would say you can hear the fan. Maybe u can go try at Home Fix? Then more or less u can know how loud or quiet it is. Speed 1 definitely is quiet.

Out of curiosity, why are you looking for external driver instead of internal? I thought most people are opting for internal nowadays?

My item cost = $185 Shipping weight = 17.6 kg, so shipping cost = 5.7+(35x1.7)=$65.20 Agent fee = (8%x185)+(8%x65.2)=$20 Total cost= all 3 above add together. Shipping cost is 35% of item cost but I got a speaker stand that is big and it already take up 70% of the weight!
