  2. i just moved into my new home less than 3 months ago. installed a brand new panasonic air con. now, HDB is telling me that my downstairs neighbour is complaining that my air con condenser is dripping water to theirs and disturbing their sleep at night. i called my air con contractor and they tell me it's a common problem and i just need to install a stainless steel tray to "catch" the water. that'll cost about $180 and is not part of the package when i first contracted from them. hmm... can anyone verify this pls and advise how i should go about this situation? any other alternatives besides doing the tray thing? should my brand new air con unit be dripping in the first place??
  3. hi all, i just got into this thread. am starting reno works on my resale flat soon. may i ask, if i plan to drill something into the backsplash area to hold utenstils etc, what material would be more ideal? glass will crack rite? how bout stainless steel? or can i only use tiles? thanks!
  4. i think there are quite a few promos going on this year end season (stock clearance time). you can always find ads in the Saturday Straits Times. Robinsons, Courts were offering discounts for Simmons mattresses. I got mine at the furniture fair at Singapore Expo some months back. There's one more coming up this month... same fair, same companies. The one at the Expo is by Ackerman & Smith (although labelled Simmons). Do be careful when dealing with the sales people. Although you can get good deals at times at such fairs, they sometimes promise the sun and moon so to close the deal (and beware the phrase "this is the last day of the promotion! etc). Make sure everything is written on the invoice what they promise and do your homework in Simmons stores before committing to any purchase. If you really want peace of mind in your expensive purchase, go for Robinsons. And oh, could you help me check what the term "Simmons will match the lower price system" means and how to actually go about it?
  5. i got it from a furniture fair at the singapore expo.. actually from one of the distributors, ackerman & smith.
  6. hi.. i recently bought a simmons mattress and the sales person made this statement… "if you encounter a lower price for the model you have, the simmons system will automatically match your price to the lower price." can anyone explain what this "system" is all about and if we should find a better deal somewhere down the road, how we can go about claiming this promise?
