Just going to spew my unhappines here about my gas heater. We have the Macro MA-10FE. It has a digital thermometer on it. The problem we face is that it takes about 2-3 seconds before the gas turns on, then it takes another 10-20s for the temperature to reach it set value of 50C. Then, if you turn off the hot water for a short time the whole thing starts again. So for example, when in the shower and you turn off the water for a short while to save water (while washing hair or washing your kid) the water will be first warm (hot water that was in the pipe) then cold for a while (when the heater was off and before it switched on again) and then warm again. Secondly, this heater was meant for 3 outlets but when a second source is used the water in the shower will go cold.... The worst thing I find is the problem that the water goes cold when you turn it on and off. For the kitchen I also like to use hot water to rinse things (baby bottles for example) but you frequently turn the water on and off, this makes the hot water like a morse signal (hot, cold, cold, hot hot, cold) Anybody else has this experience?

Yeah, got two of them under the induction hobs. Just make sure the base is thick enough and the runners are good ones. Mine are 65Kg Blum runners I think.

You can even do it your self. Maybe two screws and then you can just slide out the oven, very very simple... and ofcourse you will need to disconnect the cable behind the oven..

I have the 10W MR16 and you will need a dimmer for that because they are so **** bright! Our kitchen has 2 groups of 4 10W lights and the dimmer is normally at about 50% and that is more then enough. For our living room we have two track lights pointed at the wall, the white Philips track light with 2 spots, and they are also very bright. The hall to the bedrooms has 3 2.5W MR16 and if you ask me that is already a lot of light.... If you want to have dimmable light make sure that you test you configuration. I have done a lot of testing and found that what is supposed to work doesn't always work. Sometimes you can dim 1 GU7 very well but 3 doesn't work... A dimmer can dim a MR16 but makes a GU7 blink.... etc etc.. We now use some very very expensive dimmer for the MR16 10W and Ledino lights. If you want I can give you the details... Best to PM me as I don't check here very often as my reno is finished! Oh, I can feel for you with your kids. We had one before we started the reno and half way a second joined us, so going shopping for lights with small kids is no fun...

Sorry, but the doors were around $800 each. They are solid wood doors with frosted glass.. But they are the eye catchers in our house and get the most comments from people coming to visit. Everybody loves them. There are many choices to make and not all have been good, but changing the doors from PD door to the sliding bi-fold is one of the best ones.

Indeed, the door hangs from the top rail. It moves pretty smoothly and silently.. Durable is the question. But to be honest, the plastic slide/swing mechanism is very likely to be less durable then the wooden door. Of course, wood may rot after 10-20 years but in my case the shower I am not showering next to door and have a glass shower screen so I think the durability will be much better then the PD door design. A little bit of maintenance/varnishing from time to time and it would last a lifetime http://doorking.com.sg

Hi sharriejam, I just checked the details, I placed the order on feb 4th, the shipment was send out from Germany on mar 12th, I received it about two weeks after that. The shipment was in good order when I received it. However, after the plumber installed it the chrome came of from a knob of my shower ecostat mixer. I send iceprice a picture and without any fuss they send me a replacement knob FOC, they actually have a proper RMA web page for this kind of queries. That one took about two weeks for them to send out, that shipment just took a few days to reach. Just to make clear, the lead time of the same order from HG Singapore was around 15 weeks, something to do with the ecostat not being on stock in Singapore and Germany, so a total lead time of 10 weeks was not so bad. My friend ordered Grohe stuff from them after we ordered and she received her shipment earlier then us, guess she had no hard to get items. If you order from them place your unit nr on the same line as your street nr, they left mine out and that caused some delays with the delivery. So write: 123 Some Ave #12-34 And then check the progress regularly, then you can chase Sing Post. For my RMA item they were about to send it back to Singapore, that made me pretty angry as my phone nr was on the address as well.

Is it! Wow, we started to use them last December but after paying a deposit the service was slow and bad. 3D drawings took a week to complete and small adjustments also took the same. We gave up after one month as there was no progress. In the end we demanded our money back and we actually got it back... -
I am using the MA-10FE but don't like it. Takes ages to warm up, can throw away a bucket full of water before it gets warm. You can actually see the temperature on the display very slowly increasing to my set temperature of 50C. Also, if you turn it of for a short time and then on again there will be a large amount of cold water coming down the pipe at some point... also not so nice... Volume wise it is good, a lot of water comes out when it is warmed up.

My toilet is not stuck but the bowl had a lot of cement stuck in it, had a hard time clearing it. Also the toilet seat is ruined due to some chemicals the through down there. If I ever renovate again I would make sure the toilet bowl is the last thing they put in and then seal it up until I move in.

After my reno completed I hated the swing/slide door so much I told my contractor to remove it and install a wooden bi-fold with frosted glass. Now my friend, who also completed his reno is very very tempted to do the same thing. The door was from swingslide.com.sg, although my contractor called it a pd-door but the sticker was swingslide.com.sg. They advertise on the website that the door is silent, that's a joke as I hated it because of the loud noises it made, was afraid the whole house would wake up a night whenever somebody would visit the toillet

True true, there is a processing fee for credit cards of 3.6%, then there is a shipping charge. They charge 99 Euro for up to 15Kg, but my shipment of 13.5Kg, of two taps, two shower mixers and two shower sets shower sets, was charged 83 Euro or so. So indeed, if you buy one item the shipping charge is relatively high, but if you are doing a reno and ordering more items big savings can be had. Anyway, always do your research and compare... I am just presenting an option that saved me about 900 SGD... especially as I didn't get charged GST...

That item would cost 280.67 EUR = 492.403 SGD, ex delivery at iceprice.com.... Just to show the rip off prices they charge in Singapore. Couldn't find the Grohe article by that number
