  1. Hello folks, I've a 2-bedroom condo unit, along West Coast Crescent available for rental for 1-3 months. PM me if you're in need of a nice unit for 1-3 months. It's really pleasant and lovely. (That's why I bought it in the first place!). Cheers, jawskie
  2. Heya, yes, there are short term rentals available. Just check out the normal rental ads and then negotiate.
  3. Anyone used them before? How's the quality etc?
  4. Hello folks, Has anyone used Mr Lee from EML Design and Contract?
  5. Hi all, can I also get the contact for ID Note? Kindly PM me. Thanks so much!
  6. A property agent rightfully should be able to dispense advice as to how you go about with the buying and selling of property. They are providing a service so you should be selecting your agent carefully. It's best that you read up on the procedures yourself as well so that you don't simply leave everything to an agent, who might be inexperienced or does not seem helpful. Even if you have bought the place already, I am sure you can seek advice from other property agents. There are helpful ones around. When I was buying my place, I was talking to an agent who wasn't involved in the purchase. Try going onto property portals where agents dispense advice. Good luck!
  7. I'm quite excited. I've got an appointment with Master Chang pretty soon! Can't wait. I hope it goes awesome.
  8. Same. I shall definitely check beds.sg out when I am getting my beddings.
  9. Being cynical here. Sounds like the seller could have found another buyer who's offering a better price. It's up to you if you really want the property or if you think you can afford the time and effort in looking for another place. Market is supposedly cooling down so you might jolly well find a better place at an even lower price if you back out of the current deal. So it's really up to you how much you want this place.
  10. Sigh. At least he's showing them now and not *after*. Well. Think twice and good luck!
  11. If it's me, I would forego the deal and look for another house. Because from the signing of OTP to completion, a lot of things can happen. And if he;s not your go-to guy because of his attitude, you're in for a long and bumpy ride. The seller might make ridiculous demands, suddenly put in weird clauses, this and that and if there's no one to advise you, you could be on the losing end. But if you're dead certain you're in love with the place, just be very careful. But I'm telling you, for HDB flats, it's not a seller's market now. Sellers who are getting rid of their flats now are not spoilt for choice because of the measures taken by the government.
  12. Wait! If you've not signed anything, you're NOT OBLIGED to engage him as your agent.
  13. No you are not being fussy. The agent is supposed to do all that for you. He is a housing agent, for goodness, not just there to do one singular transaction and expect to take your 1% so easily.
  14. Hi folks, I'm often advised that the cost of renovating an HDB flat, condo apartment or landed property differ by quite a bit, even if built-in area and requirements are the same. Would anyone care to share your experience and to what extent this claim is true?
  15. Does anyone know where I can find *cheap* baroque furnishings? The ones I managed to find off the net are way expensive. It'd be awesome if you can share web links! Example: http://www.google.com.sg/images?q=baroque+...256&bih=680
  16. I don't know enough to help out but I wish you all the best. I'd really hate to find myself in such a predicament. Good luck!
  17. Hey Ivy, you skipped me! If you dont mind, kindly send me both lists too. Thanks.
  18. Ooh. I've loved Design Sponge eversince I stumbled upon it. Good share!
  19. Hmmm. I've already decided to go with Master Chang but I guess it won't hurt to see this list. Ivy, if you don't mind, kindly send the list to me as well? Much thanks!
  20. oooh, have you got pictures, hotstuff? Did you pay a good price for it?
  21. Hello all, I'm wondering if anyone has a dog/cat door installed and how useful you think it is. I'm thinking of doing it for my toilet as I would like my pooches to pee/poop there as well. It'd be awesome if you've got pictures to show. PLUS, are there anything else that you might have added to make your home more comfortable for your pets? Share away!
  22. Hmmm. I recently got Allbest to do up a system 3 at my place and they were quite nice about it. Workmanship was ok. Only thing is they left the place quite dusty and all. Which didn't bother me. They seemed like quite nice chaps. Overall, I think they did a fine job. Nothing to shout about but it wasn't unpleasant at all. I had bought a Panasonic System 3 from the one at IMM, paid up more than half the price for deposit, picked a date (quite a bit) later than their earliest available... if that all makes a difference.
  23. But it's also about customising a look that goes with the decor. I'm quite particular about the fabric as most ready to be bought have got similar designs and aren't outstanding. But thanks for the advice!
