  1. Chelsea Lighting is selling 3w GU10 led halogen style light for $25. They don't require transformer.
  2. My wife and I wanted the Balinese concept for the living room of our condo. But, after consulting numerous books and the ID, found it not vey practical. Balinese concept should have a water feature, wide and open space with lots of green and wooden flooring. works really well if you have a garden. Difficult to maintain. I have 2 aquariums, and i know i have to change water weekly. Plus, my domestic helper cannot really do a good job maintaing wooden floor. So, in the end, opt for modern resort style instead. The kind you find at Westin Resort and Spa. i think the practical issue is why most Singaporean home owners opt for the modern, clean classic style.Easier maintenance. But, if you like Balinese style and don't mind the maintenance, take a look at pictures of resorts in Bali by following the links in this website, http://www.smarttravelasia.com/balihotel.htm
  3. Doing up house now based on modern resort style, we checked a lot of shops at balestair, jalan sultan, and jurong east. Finally got my lights from Lightcraft and chelsea. Chelsea plc donwlight, complete set was $26. The hanging light for living and dinning rooms were from Lightcraft. Got them each $280, made of glass and some small glass crystals. It was really hard to look for lights. the trend was crystal style lights with fabric, most carry similar style. Only Lightcraft have more unique designs. very happy so far.
  4. Hi; Got this small, round 4-seater dinning table with a wrought iron base with legs. Loved the table top of this table. I want to keep it as part of my house reno. I think it's totally possible to cut the legs in half, weld some minmal support and convert it into a coffee table, if the cost is not high. Anyone know who can do this? Much appreciated.
