Hihi, May I check with you where to get this silicone sealer? My contractor can't seems to find it in any hardware shops. Can't PM you, so got to ask you here. Thanks a lot!

Nothing to do with the modification.. haha.. I have length restriction due to the placement of my sofa, so the boss suggested to keep the left half of the sofa and do a mirror image of the left armrest on the right. I regretted not for the modification but design of the sofa... now prefer something else.

Is this from a shop at 2nd level of IFC? I also choose the same one... with a little modification... but now a bit regret... thinking of getting something else.

ok, more photos from several weeks ago. My Arino Caprio WC The 2 basins that I had chosen with the package: But I actually like this one more, which is not part of the package, need to top up. Still thinking.

Almost forgot, went to the Asia Pacific Furniture Fair last weekend, and with my "soft" ears, got "psycho" into getting 4 of these bar stools for my kitchen island. Anyone interested in taking over?

Today went IFC to shop for furnitures... spent A LOT OF $ there. :~ 1st, got the single most expensive furniture I have ever gotten in my entire life... Slumberland Royal Excellence 3600 with storage bedframe. Loved the firmness with latex pillowtop. After much consideration, bite the bullet since I love sleeping. Hope it will be a great investment. Next went to a shop where the boss was actually the one who sold me my current storage bed and Vono mattress a few yrs ago at a VERY good price. So coincident! Her displays are not eye-catching, but since I knew she can custom build almost everything, I then asked her for the pole system wardrobe, sofa, dining table etc. Her price is really competitive so I ended up getting my 2 pole systems from her (cheaper by ~10% from my last quote). Also this dining table with 4 chairs (black) This full leather sofa (which now, on 2nd thought, I didn't like it as much, maybe change the order to something else) KIV this coffee table She recommend this extendable TV console, which is at quite a good price, but I prefer something else, so this is KIV while I asked her to quote me on a custom build TV console. Saw this buffet table in one of the catalog, so also asked her to quote for me for a full white one. After spending over 2 hrs at her shop, we have to settle the deposit first as she got to rush to fetch her worker. She will come to my place next Sun to take the actual measurement for the pole system. As her worker is at Yishun, and I currently stay near central, she offer to give me a lift... and in the end, she almost sent me to doorstep (which is NOT in Yishun).

May 3-5, Day 14-6: Nothing much seems to be done for the past 1 week... maybe because of the holidays. Saw the supervisor when I went up after work on Wed, discussed some minor changes/details for common toilet's dry/wet area curb size and hollow block locations for the kitchen area. Anyway, the uneven kitchen tiles have been taken down, pending replacement. Master toilet also started tiling... but not enough tiles, so pending new delivery. The hollow block for the new doorway is up.

Congratulations on getting the keys! Oh, I did not row the pineapple before the 动土 ceremony leh... only put some oranges at the 4 corners of the apt and pray sincerely... I thought the Pineapple is for before official move-in??

Yup, the windows are one of the main reason I bought this place. They are slightly tinted green... but maybe not good enough for the sun. However if I open the windows, it is actually quite breezy, not so much "green-house effect". Really a love/hate feeling. Haha.. thanks, I love the kitchen space too. It is rectangular shape, ~3.2m X 5.8m. Going to put a 2.4m X 0.8m island in the middle... Hopefully it turns out nice.

Day 8 (cont): Spotted some uneven wall tiles, need to check with my contractor if this is normal. Also spotted a chip-off of the settee. Dunno if the carpenter can patch it or not. The trash. Love this view, my new kitchen and dining area.

Day 7: Went up after work as usual, the tilers are still working. Chat with them a little then I left. As I forgot to bring my camera, so no pic. Day 8: Did not go up. Day 9: Went up today to check the progress and to bring more water up for the workers. The kitchen's wall tiles are 90% completed! Water proofing on-going for kitchen and both toilets: The common toilet's wall tiles are also 90% completed: The toilet's new windows (with cut-out for ventilation fan):

Day 6 (cont): After discussion with the air-con guy (he took my 4 blowers with him as there is no "safe" place in the apt to place them), spent some time chatting with one of the window guy. He said normally by early afternoon, a total replacement of windows should be completed by then, but mine was only 3/4 completed. He said for HDB, my windows are consider very "tall", that's why they need to spend more time to do it. Decided not to disturb them anymore, I left the place after spending ~2hr there. Took a pic of the old windows that are sitting by the corridor when I left... this is what I saw, at eye-level (me height ard 1.55m). This should indicate how "tall" are these windows.

Day 6 (cont): Window guys at work: Tilers at work: Am fascinated by the way they mix the cements... stood there for a good 5-10 mins watching them doing the mixing and "blending"
-
Day 6: Busy day. Window guys are here to install the new windows; air-con guys here to remove the old piping, the tilers are quietly tiling away... took half day off to meet the air-con guy to go thru the possible route for re-piping. These greets me when the lift door opened, the old windows: As I walked up the stairs... the new windows greets me again! When I opened the main door, at least 8 men are in the apt. Very different from the last few days... no one was there. But all are very cooperative, quietly doing their own things. Although it's full of pple in the apt, the place is actually quite quiet.. The new window frame, with air-con piping gone.

Day 4: Went up after work on the 4th day, but as it was quite dark, can't take much pic. Only managed to take one decent photo of the common toilet. They have started patching the hacked walls with cement and make good of the hacked edges. Day 5: They patched up the "hole" which was a beam (on the left) The kitchen's side is also patched up. They also make good of the rough floor. Finally the tiling began... in the kitchen.
-
Day 3: The Big Red/white container that greets me when I arrived late in the afternoon. From Main door, most debris cleaned up, replaced with loads of sand. Bags of cements and the tiles... Lots of cements but not that many tiles?? The remains of the hacked off wall... A partial view of the "bare" kitchen.
