Any movers to recommend?
user123 replied to koras's topic in Renovation Contractors, Interior Designers & Suppliers Reviews
I was "held ransom" by them! Due to kena "cheated" by ID, we have to find 1 months storage place. YS offers storage for a 15 footer items for $250 a month, much cheaper than self storage. The moving part was $300 for 15 footer. we indicate to shift from storage to new home on 1 Aug, $300 too. Nearer to date, I called to confirm, said I didn't confirm that date. That date was a "good day" and specifically requested by my mum very early and so I would have a firmed confirmation during the moving out from old place. Told me 1Aug full, unless I wanted to move after official hour will cost extra $200, total $500!!! Then I wanted to find alternative movers to move on 1 Aug daytime, YS says cannot, the storage can only be access by their own movers! Great! I was held ransom, either pay extra $200 to move on 1 Aug evening or move other date and risk being scold by my mum due to inauspicious date. then my mum says its ok to move the items one day earlier but we don't stay there. Ok, good news, so I ask YS still got slot on July 31, sunday, she said yes. how much ? $300, original price...but only got final schedule of the day, 4-6pm... and final slot cost extra $50.... so do I pay? Do I have any choice now?? -

Does anyone of you who have done up vinyl flooring, feel the vinyl like a bit thin when walk on it? Also got the feel like the floor is very uneven. It's not like walking on a solid surface.

Hi, Just to share a good electrician worked for my unit full restoration of electrical wiring. Cost less than 4k. he charge by per item: single power point $50 double power point $55 light point $30 heater/AC point $100 install light $10 He might not be the cheapest, but his workers workmanship is commendable. And he is quite responsive when requesting for changes, giving ideas.

Hi, Consider I am going to fully hack away the old tiles (reduce risk of popping in future), are the cost of laying back homogenous tiles (say $3.20 tiles) or using vinyl flooring going to be the same or which one cost more? After hacking the old tiles, do they need extra cement screeding for tile or vinyl? cos I notice some contractor quote only one item for laying of tiles but for vinyl, were 2 items (cement screeding and laying of vinyl) thanks

Electrical Quotation For 4-Room Bto

Hi kelvin, hope you are still reading this thread... can you pm me your electrician? thanks a lot -
If u got an Aircon ledge y do u need to add stainless steel bracket? aircon ledge not enough space to place two compressor? if that's the case, then u can stack one compressor above another using a special stainless steel rack ( not those drill to the wall) but u have to take note of electric point for the Aircon is enough to power two compressors.

Hi, How long usually does the ID send the 3D drawing after signing the agreement ? It's been 3 weeks after signing the agreement and 4 weeks to my home key collection and I have not heard a word from my ID unless I whatsapp him but his reply is always the same, that he will send the 3D to me ASAP... these ASAP lasted for 3 weeks and counting on..... I wonder if I can terminate the service or not.... it really gives me no confidence on him if such a simple matter also can't resolve in time.... Any advise? thanks

Bad Experience With Mitsubishi Electric Starmex
user123 replied to Sixtus's topic in Electronics & Electricals
Seriously, I don't think its the aircon, it's the cable problem.... so musts insist to use a good cable that will not rust easily and break the connection and you will have these problems.... I have been using 2 sets mits starmex and one Panasonic... the Panasonic indoor is so noisy at night until I have to keep tapping it to stop the vibration noise.... but the starmex are so quiet.... my resale coming up and it will be another starmex.. no other brand... I swear by it -

what tem are you having? if more than system 1, does other indoor unit got problem operating too? I faced such problem before with both my starmex and Panasonic..... indoor work a while got blower but not cold, then suddenly shut down, but other unit works ok.... both sets also electrical cable from indoor unit to outdoor unit got problem (rusty and broken somewhere)... change the cable, then no problem.... Usually aircon men will come and use a replacement wire to connect direct from your room indoor unit to the outdoor to test if the aircon working properly before they check the PCB and other component which are rarely giving problem. -
Hi Aron, Can you give me a quote for a Mitsubishi Starmex sys-4 3x 9000btu + 1x 18000 btu, the latest 5 ticks series thanks

Hi, it's frustrating to get different answer from different ID. Some say this can and some say that cannot.... So for those who have done your house reno, would like to have a little advice from you. 1. If I relocate my kitchen sink, can I embed the waste pipe below the floor tiles all the way to the original drainage hole? Same for washing machine drain pipe ( I am going to hack away the old tiles and to totally redo the whole flooring) 2. can I plaster smooth the ceiling? (previous owner have sand blasted it) thanks all.
