Hi All, Go Google and you can find a list of China manufacturer of LED strips. I'm 99% sure those sell in Sim Lim are all from China.....nowadays, what are the things not made in China one?? As a guide, those I bought in Sim Lim Tower cost S$16 a meter, from the web it cost only ard USD$16 per roll of 5m. Shipping charge can be cheap if u buy more... But I have not try their quality before, so don't quote me. Wait my shipment come and I will revert back.

Sorry I have already submitted my order Next round ba...

My experience is different from the rest... Everyone here recommend PS, I went there, boss is friendly and very knowledgeable, keep bla bla bla bla bla non-stop, ok I guess he's being friendly. I asked for hood, sink, heater, drawer basket, all items he quoted me once and keep sticking to the price and never care to discount a single cents...saying the price is nett, very good, they order from factory direct... bla bla bla... Since I'm not in hurry and forget to bring my cheque book, oh yeah, no credit card payment too, so intend to go back next day (Sunday). Since going to PS I need to pass by Poh Joo, so I drop by and check the prices... Oh! Luckily I forget to bring my cheque book yesterday and today I got a real bargain and now no need cheque book! Can pay by credit card without extra charges. For the same Stainless steel pull-out basket, same brand, same model, same design, same....., PJ is selling $15 cheaper then PS, the hood I also get lower. And to my pleasant surprise, the boss also give me a final discount of the total amount! UNlike PS, die die cannot even less a single cent!

While we can buy cheaper electrical items in Msia like instant heater, ceiling fans, lightings... etc, but will insurance cover if something wrong with those equipment that causes fire/eletricution ? I'm not sure if those concern are some sort of scare tactics by the sales person here told me
-
For those home that already got the power point ready for the instant heater, is it ok if we install it ourselves (have the knowledge of cable to use and how to connect)? or must ask certified electrician to install?
-
I got a false ceiling contractor direct from Woodlands factory charging $2 /sq feet for false ceiling, $5.00 for L-box and $5.50 for L-box with cove.... Construction in progress and will feedback the outcome when done.

Aiyo, the A11 very very small lei... haha... maybe will get v56 but only white and grey color right? I like those bronze color
-
does $700 inclusive of lights equipment? If not, it's a cut throat price! false ceiling 400 for 65sqft also cut throat...
-
How do we know whether is any model of the ceiling fan is suitable for HDB use or not? eg. if I wanna buy from Msia, they wouldn't know what is the ceiling height of our HDB right?
-
I have this concern too.... while turning on the tap for 15sec before the water turns hots (depends on the length of the pipe from the heater to the shower head too), this will waste X sec of water... who wanna stand in cold shower (esp. in the morning) while waiting for the hot water to reach the shower head?
-
I'm using warm white as in "amber"... dun really like that pure white color
-
By the way, do we need to check on that person to see if he is a licensed electrician or not before letting them carry on with the work? I got a freelancer

How come 2 electricians quote me looping point and new point same price? I mean if the looping (parallel) point is just next to each other, the cable is damnn short and how can they charge same as new point which require running cable all the way from the switch??? Can anyone lat me have an honest electrician contacts plsssss..... desperate

I have just install LED strips light to my parents home TV console, the cheapest got from Sim Lim Tower at $16 per meter. If I want to get those brighter, at least I pay $23 per meter and my new flat whole ceiling all around about 20m cost about $500+ inclusive transformer. Of course I think it will not be as bright as T5 lamp, but I think the ambience is nicer. I can still use the downlight as main lighting. But watching TV, some soft light on the ceiling is nicer. Any comment?

New Electrical Point Charges Includes Of Fixing?
user123 replied to user123's topic in Plumbing & Electrical Works
Between, is it common to charge looping as a new light point? Even the light just next to another, two electricians quoted me as new point which I think it's unfair as the cable is so short and the 2nd and 3rd light are sharing the same line... -
Wonder if anyone uses LED strips as cove light instead of the conventional T5?
