I never shop for lighting in taobao but I did shop for another thing in taobao. I a pair of Yonex Badminton Racket from Taobao. They selling very cheap and I got the very high end one because I looking for lightweight racket. The racket cost 128 RMB = less than S$30... The actually product cost more than two hundred Singapore dollar. When the day it arrived, I am very happy and sad... is a replica... Lesson learnt. My friend actually order a lighting with lots of crystals for 500 RMB from Taobao. Reach his house, all crystal were shattered. Complaint to them their crystal did not pack properly which cause the crystal to broke but they said is not their fault. They blame the delivery man who did not handle the goods properly... He using DHL some more lol and I told him DHL is famous for Delivery Half-way Lost but at least they never lost your goods very good liao. End of the day he need to pay another 450 RMB for the Crystal. as the lighting shell cost only 50 RMB... Shipping cost is not included, he never told me how much. Buy only no brand product and cheap product from Taobao. Why people pay more as they want no trouble for their product they had paid. I saw lots of products sold in Taobao as sold in qoo10.sg (gmarket) but the price is a bit more expensive.

Ikea use hdf wood while carpenter use solid plywood. Which is better? Ikea isn't cheap so no need to compare price unless you going to install yourself. Both use laminate but ikea got limited selection while carpenter give you more laminate design selection.

Singapore demand on very good stuff but only want low price. So what u see is laminate kitchen cabinet as low as $80 pfr to $180 pfr. I believe $120 pfr is expensive to everyone not to say $180 for laminate kitchen cabinet.. and Blum system will be additional cost.. classic door kitchen cabinet, it range at least $150 pfr. Do u willing to spent that amont? If u willing, all carpenter or ID willing to gave you want u want. and maintaining the kitchen cabinet is high due to natural wood.. Solid maple, cherry, walnut & etc all different price.

I will recommend you to use Power Socket in Track system for your study room. The only downside for now is the cost. As for branding, too many brand (as long as don't get from china one can liao) Try to get brand from Aust or Euro side safer.

Actually all shop you can ask for how much they charge for the installation fee. They will either tell you the installation fee or they will recommend you their sub-con to you. Of cos they can tell you how much too.

I understood you don't like the gain but if you buy or customer made some white cabinet, you can cover area which is more dark and brighten it overall. you can use stone effect wall covering to match it to the marble flooring to give a cozy nature effect. Alt overlay with vinyl tile, laminate flooring. Btw hacking marble cost more. Ask your contractor for the price.

HDB license don't assurance anything. If you want assurance, ask the contractor to bring you to 1 or 2 owner house. and pls pls chat with them see if they are real owner or actor. Alt u may visit his ongoing job site..
