My matt finished homo tiles had some stains and i wanted to do acid wash but my ID advised against it saying it will spoil the tile. Can do acid wash on matt finished homogenous tiles ?

The 2 types of tiles are called Matt (rough) and Glossy (smooth). We chose matt finish-homogenous tiles bcos scratches or any small marks that can't be removed in the long run, won't be obvious. Also don't need to polish regularly/ at all. Also not as slippery when wet compared to the glossy finish. Though glossy looks very beautiful and smooth, we thought matt is best for us due to maintenance in the long run. I do have some pics in my T-Blog, if i'm not wrong. U can take a look at it by clicking on my signature title. I'll try to post some pictures taken recently over the next few days.

If u ask me, better don't put ANY socket in the toilet. So dangerous, just a bit of water splashed accidentally when u are showering or cleaning/ washing the toilet...that's it man.....

It's true that dark or bright colour solid tops can show scratches easily. I'm using white solid top and we do heavy cooking at home. Everytime aft cooking, i use Magiclean Kitchen Wipes to make sure i wipe the entire solid top. Also once a week, i use Jif to wipe the solid top. So far got scratches but it's not obvious. But my solid surface top, still white as new. Sometimes i lazy also, to everytime keep cleaning but no choice lor, need to keep it clean ma...

Utility Bills
hasibee replied to HSH21's topic in Moving House: Packing, Storing, Moving To Your New House
Wa, still ur bill high.... must be something wrong somewhere. On SP Services's website, you can actually login and submit your meter reading each month before a certain date and they will send the bill according to your usage instead of them estimating your reading. However there are pros and cons in this.I monitored my bills for 3months and found the following: In Dec - i took my meter reading for Electric, Gas & water but never submit. I wanted to see how much PUB is gonna estimate. So when the bill came, they actually estimated much lesser than wat i used. So i thought i saved money. In Jan - i took my meter reading but also never submit. This time, my bill was much higher bcos i think they took the meter reading from my hse personally bcos the readings seem to tally with what SP billed me. So u can do the same for your hse too. Take down the meter reading & see if tally lor. Maybe 2 months will be lesser but the 3rd month, should be accurate bcos their guys take readings personally from your hse once every 3 months
