Finally done with the fitting of our new lockset yesterday. The locksmith just drilled 1 additional hole into our main door to solve the problem. Btw, the locksmith who change our lock did a wonderful job. His name is Peter Teo. If anybody wants to change your lock, pls let me know and I will pass you his contacts. He also did electrical and plumbing works around the east area.

Hi all, I purchased a Yale main door handleset yesterday with the intention of changing my old handleset. But i found out the new screw holes' positions doesn't match my existing one on the door. What should i do now ? Can i re-drill another hole into my main door to fit the new set ?

Hi, Discovered some bugs that are oval in shape and black in color. They are size of an ant. They will fly a small distance when I touch them. Found them inside my toilet vanity and on top of my basin. What are those tiny insects? Really need urgent help in getting rid of these pests.

Hi all, My house was recently renovated. All the old kitchen cabinets was hacked and rebuild. Yesterday I found lots of small insects that looks like ants but much smaller size compared to ants. They jump when I touches them. Really scare it is white ants which might be quite a headache for us. Anybody encounter those small insects while your cabinets are new ? What can be the cause of it ?

Anybody know any lobang for made-to-measure study desks ? As I wish cover my 2 study desks from wall to wall and also to take care of my aircon trunking below the desks, I need precise measurements. However, I heard they can cost twice of what is off the shelf kind.

As I will be shifting into my new resale house soon, I need to change my main door knob. Do you guys normally ask the seller for help or other locksmith outside ? And what are the rates normally ?

Anybody currently using Hitachi R-Z481EMSX fridge ? Heard this brand sells very fast here due to its 4 ticks energy saving label and front jet freezing. Anybody encounter any problem with this model so far ? And where can I get it the cheapest ?

Actually the existing resale unit already has the windows grill installed and it is those lockable type. We just felt if we were to do the platform and need to change to a "fixed" grill will be too troublesome. BTW, my living room windows is only half height.

I am caught in a dilemma now....Need some urgent help from u guys... I am planning to do a platform for my living room. The issue is my living room windows is within the platform area. My contractor had submitted the request to erect this platform and HDB had approved it with a few conditions: Hardwood platform on floor **** room 14/01/2011 ; Arch: On condition:;a) No storage is allowed within the platform.;b) The side of the platform must be sealed up by non combustible material. ;c) Min 1m parapet height from platform level. Fixed grille must be provided if parapet height is less than 1m. The 3rd condition states that there must be a min 1m height from the platform level to the windows, else a FIXED grill must be installed. I called up HDB to clarify with the technical officer and was told that the meaning of FIXED grill is that it can still be open when necessary (and can be lock). However, my contractor insisted that it is those really fixed one and thus cannot be open or locked. This has put me into a very difficult situation as my contractor wants a black & white from the HDB technical officer to remove the 3rd condition but the HDB technical officer refused to issue one and said he had never encountered such request for B&W from a contractor. The HDB technical officer had even questioned me how long my contractor had been in the business. I mean WTH ???!!!! How I know the answer to his question ?? The contractor is not my father.... The thing is our contractor thinks "fixed" means those cannot be open type and thus if we were to do the platform, we got to change the existing window grill (currently is those lockable type). What should I do now ? We really hope to do the platform for our living room. Pls help ..........

We saw the ready made WIW at Ikea for abt 1K lower but since we cannot customise the internal layout we wanted, we have decided to just let Edmund do it......

Haha....it sure looks like TNT logo....Yup, it was a brave decision to use orange and white for our kitchen cabinet....We decided to opt for this color combination when Edmund showed us some samples. It was love at first sight.... We are still having problems choosing our tv feature wall, tv console and shoe cabinet laminates .....Initially we wanted white/light colors for all but it will make our living room look bland....
