Here is a shot taken in the day of our Kitchen counter Here is a shot of our island taken in the day. Nothing too fanciful but its a place we call home.

ok, decided to skip the photos while renovating. haha.. too many photos to upload. So here we are.. done, moved in, christmas, New Year and CNY comes and go. Here is a view of the Living Room with my "control station" aka Study Room in the background, taken at night. Here is a view from the Kitchen into the Living Room with my "Runway Light" Here is a view of the Hallway to the rooms Here is a view from the Study out to the Living Room
-
And here we can see that the MBR Toilet Wall is gone as well. Yeah.. open all the way. Now I am taking this shot from where eventually our bed would be. Here is another shot taken just outside our MBR toilet.
-
Room 2 is now part of the MBR with half of its external wall hacked as well.
-
An opening is created for the new door position of Room3 With Room 4 out of the way, the view to the kitchen is certain better.
-
With Room 4 gone, we can now see the Living Hall opening up Saw the hollow blocks which will be used to construct the new storeroom & study room. Hmm.. seeing these strawboards does make my blood boiled for a while, as later in the reno, it was only after some argument did our contractor used it to protect our flooring when its done. Other wise, it was only used as a "BED" for the sub-con ppl to take their naps.

Day 2-Demo Day 2 of Demo day, we were greeted by the debris right at the entrance... sort of glad to see that, as it means things are progressing. Went into the house and notice the storeroom is totally gone.. yeah. Can see the Kitchen opening up already. Room4 (the blue room) is also gone and in the background we could see that half of its internal wall is also been hacked.
-
Here we start demolition. Demo Day 1 Room 4 which is the blue room we saw from earlier photo will be the first to go. The space freed up will become part of the dinning area to our open concept socialising space while part of its internal wall will be hack halfway for our glass wall. All the debris accumulating in the Living Hall area Despite the kitchen was renovated by the previous owner a year back, it still had to go because we have other plans in mind.
-
In my next round of posting, we will be talking about DEMO DAY !
-
now let step into the kitchen. Oh, thank goodness that there is no drop in floor height from living to kitchen area. otherwise my plans for the house would have been compromised. despite been informed tat the previous owner had renovated the kitchen a year ago, that was wat they like, not me. So every thing in the kitchen have to go
-
The original puny storeroom which will also be teared down, relocate and rebuilt
-
the fourth room which eventually will be demolish to become part of my socialising space. And here is the extra toilet door which we will be sealing up.
-
And lets take a look at the hall area to judge its size for the planning.
-
So now lets proceed on to the adjourning room, which will eventually be part of the MBR.
-
as this is originally 2 3rm flat combine to one, it means that we have 2 kitchen area which means the pipes as well. In this case, I have these in my MBR area. And although some ppl might think, "oh 2 3rms, does that means u have 4 toliet?" and the answer is yes. but its not as big as we wanted and there is this stupid pipe smack right in the middle. and it really cramped up the entire bathroom.
-
ok, maybe now it might still be a little difficult to visualise what we will be dealing with, so let's removed all the existing fittings, furnitures and such and take a look at the space again. But of cos before we do, let get on the basic tradition. Better be safe than sorry right Huat Ah Here is the MBR views from the door with all the stuff removed. View from MBR on the window side. gonna do something to this space at MBR area.
-
And here is the toliet view And looking back at the kitchen from the toilet side
-
So now lets take a look at the Kitchen, which every thing has to go.
-
From this view , we can see the door to the storeroom which obviously will be remove Here, we can see the 4th room's door, which this room will also be demolished. View of the 4th room from this image, we can see the toilet door in the 4th room which we will be sealing up.

We just had our housewarming yesterday, though there was this big storm in the afternoon, on the overall, it was a pleasant one. Here, I would like to express my thanks to my friends and relative who came to express their well wishes and appreciation to our home. Ok, enough blabbering, here comes the photos of the House before we dismantle and rebuilt it. A shot of the MBR from the door Zooming in shows the MBR's window & the door to the MBR Toilet on the right. Here is a shot of the MBR from its window And here is a shot from the MBR door to outside of the room

for the Master Bath, I have always wanted to have a Bathtub for those relaxation after a long tiring week of work. But the layout of the MBR toliet, though its consist of 2 toilet combined, i couldn't actually squeeze out much practical space for it. Off the shelf tub, I might have to look for the biggest which I can squeeze in. If really can't fit in a decent tub, contingency is to get one of those Jap sitting tub. But worried that when we grow old, we might not be able to raise our legs over that height to take a proper bath. But of cos, the best case senario is that we can do something like a combo Jap Sitting Tub and shower area like the image below. However, due to the pipes and space constraint, we have to opt for option 1. Something off the shelf. A 1400L tub which we went thru **** to get it installed right (will touch on this later)
