Sigh... My parents place was also facing problems with Chew Interior... Initially they give so much assurance n talk... yet they were unprofessional with their work. My mum insisted not to pay up the remaining balance until they rectifed. But because some are unrectifiable, they gave my mum somewhat a discount. Still, until now, my parents will talk about the quality of work yet again n again. So costly for such workmanship. So I feel u when u said its from Chew Interior.

You need to have patience to try around getting quotes. I suggest you can either take sample quotes from the forum here and list down what you want to be done then you give that list to the ID/Contractors eg wet works, hacking, hauling, carpentry. This way you can see if the quotation is cheap or expensive comparatively. Easier that way. There are plenty of sample quotes from others here. And in addition, if you want to do re-wiring I suggest you get a different electrician as those quotes from ID tend to be loads more ex.

Total price of my cabinet is plus anti slam 23ft - $3833. Borelli Solid Surface 14.5 ft - $1088... Is there a diff in material? Seems like your is way too expensive...

Reasonable only that Your quote seems slightly higher than mine, and yet there are those lesser than ours. eg, your bi-fold cost you $280 when mine is $180, your demolishing toilet cost you $900 when mine is $580. The rest is abit difficult for me to compare because I am not sure what is your sq area. I would suggest things like installation of water heater to be removed as most shops I ask, when you buy water heater from them, they provide free installation given that there is already the switch. I am rewiring my 5rm at the same price as yours, so I assume its much ex as mine has 'L' box lighting too... I suggest to get a different electrician and not from ID. Saves me alot. -
Mine seems more ex than yours, sadly... Although have yet to sign the agreement, I dunno how else to bring down my price... PS: Jus to answer your qns, Yup, yours is cheaper. Will me putting up my Quote soon for review too...

I am renovating my 5rm too. I would want to compare yours with mine to see if mine is expensive but what your are renovating is totally diff from mine. So difficult for me to differentiate... how much per sqft are your items? There are some alike... I think I get it... basically if I have to pay HDB either 10% of the new home price (valuation 490k + 30k COV) or 50% of my cash profit from selling the house, which ever higher +COV + 10?% remainder frm the cpf (wiped out everything) and grant if short must top up cash right? Since its my 2nd loan and I still have loan from the previous house, I get only get up to 80% of the hbd loan. So far my HLE is 500k. Better on the safer side, I sell first and then buy... dun wanna end up forking more cash... -

Sorry I still don't get it... I will soon be facing this... Eg bought my 4Rm at 198k. Sold it at 320k purchasing new flat at 520k. requested cov @ 30k my 1st loan not cleared yet. this will be my 2nd loan with hdb but 1st time with grant. 1st flat taken without grant. so my calculation? i would be earning 120k as profit 50% goes to my new flat. 60k is part of the 10% cash deposit of the new flat 520k? or is it 60k (50% resale profit) +52k (10% cash deposit)? after that then inclusive of all cpf + grant... where does COV for the buyer lies? COV part of the 10% cash deposit? So confusing... help...
