  1. Have some long over-due posts to catch up on today.. Hehe.. =P First up, some purchases we made over the past weeks.. Lorenzo Dining Table + 4 Chairs Notice the table mat in the middle of the table? The wifey made me go back to Lorenzo to get 4 pcs as our table mat cos she liked the red so much.. Lorenzo Coffee Table Came free with the 3+2 sofa we bought.. And yes, it's a mini version of our dining table.. Lolx..
  2. We are going to our house to check defects today!!! yippie!!! hopefully not much, if not NO defects!!! then we can start reno REAL SOON! So excited!
  3. the person was telling us if u lie on it 4-5 hrs a day, the beanbag will sink in about 1.5 yrs.. so every 1.5 yrs, we have to put a tube of "fillings" in and each tube cost $15.. (Buy the beanbag he still give 1 free tube so its like 3yrs no need to buy the refill and whatsmore im sure we dun sit on it 4-5hrs everyday).. then the cover, its removable and machine washable so maintain the bean bag is a breeze..
  4. we tried some beanbags in JB too and its just a mere fraction of what we got from Bean Rester; at ard $100... but the comfort level and versatility is unrivaled..
  5. froggy, joyousonline, kyxyy We got the beanbag from Bean Rester @ Park Mall (B1).. They have quite a huge range of beanbags there.. The sales guy was very knowledgeable, talking abt ergonomics and stuff.. Never knew selecting a beanbag had soo much "knowledge" behind it.. This bean bag was a little pricey (but the wife's dad is sponsoring part of it =D).. It's $695 -- $100 lesser if you opt for the cotton material.. The material we opted for was suede so +$100... It really is comfortable! =D joyousonline The Brandt hob was $730, hood was $659 from Harvey Norman..
  6. The wait is ending soon!! We are collecting our keys tomorrow!! 03.03.11, 10:10am!!
  7. Hi May, we seen a lot of matt design homo tiles and personally i dun feel its weird cos theres really a lot of different ones to chose from.. only thing is design wise, its better to chose different design between kitchen and rooms...
  8. We got it from Harvey Norman.. They quoted $1099..
  9. The carpets were priced at: - 60 X 120cm $65 - 140 X 200cm $295 - 160 X 230cm $395
  10. Carpets The wife is pretty particular about the "feel" of the carpets we are gonna buy.. She needs it to be soft and smooth and really comfortable.. Thus, we've been searching for carpets that fits her requirements and at the same time doesn't burn a big hole in our pockets.. We've had experiences with shops telling us a 140 x 200mm carpet costs $600+++ and even more.. To us, that price is way over budget.. Ikea had some pretty nice carpets with ok "feel" but the colours were not really suitable for our theme.. Finally, the wife searched on the Internet and found this shop selling shaggy carpets.. No price was indicated on the website but we still went ahead to have a look today.. And.... We got 3 pieces of silky shaggy carpet! Wife was really happy with the feel.. Very soft and smooth.. The price was reasonable too.. They also had a wide variety of colours.. Some photos to share... One of the carpets we bought.. Also available in... They have different kinds of carpets for sale.. Can check them out if interested.. =) ---- Ling Carpets 38, Changi Road Singapore (419701) (Next to 7-Eleven, Geylang Serai)
  11. we've seen from a few different home for the homogenous tiles.. and we are wondering... how come for some, we can feel the groutings still though very fine.. but some are really smooth and we cun feel it? we were also told by our ID that the groutings will be about 2mm cos they will put dividers when they lay.. but some houses we seen really seems to be so fine that it doesn't look like 2mm.. is there anyone who's expert in this and can advise us?
  12. The Beanbag Since eons ago, Mr Lin has already decided that he wants to get a comfy, comfy beanbag for our new home.. And.. He has it now! We ordered it today.. Dubbed the 7-minute killer, this comfy Double M Rester Beanbag is said to knock you out in 7 minutes.. Haha.. We'll know if it's true once we start using it.. =P Here's how it looks like.. We got ours made in Suede Blue..
  13. Another piece of fantastic news to share, that happened this week was this: FINALLY!! the waiting game is almost coming to a draw.. and we will so be holding the keys in our hands soon!!! YIPPIE!!
  14. Another shop that we went to in JB was: Gucca Italy website: www.guccaitaly.com the one nearest to customs is at Taman Molek if anyone is interested..
  15. Furniture Shopping After our JB furniture shopping rendezvous, we only set sight on 2 particular set of sofas which are 2.7m and 2.8m respectively... Unfortunately, we do not have the luxury of space and this length is definitely too long for us... hence in the end, we resorted to shopping for sofa back in our homeland once again... Went to Furniture Mall on Wednesday and when we went into Lorenzo, a set of sofa straight away caught the eye of the hubby and he immediately went to 'attach' his butt to that sofa... WOW! it was amazing.. the wife then 'attached' her butt too and fell in love right away.. Comfort was right! Looks was right too!! but price.... =.=" (not right!) But alas, both DiZy couldn't resist to temptation and finally bought that sofa, together with the dining set with a free coffee table... ~Furniture episode closed~

  22. maybe the 2 lion statues are both meant to be "inside" and just that the door facing is not ideal that they have to slant it to have a different facing?
