Nice 3d design with earthy colours Met up with one of the staff from Ideal Design before BUT very bad discussion and drop them on the spot. Maybe we met a very "yaya",defensive, insincere and bad attitude guy Ranked last in our search list. They are regulars in renotalk and he is particularly mindful of the comments here. Hope you have good experience with terence! We have the same tiles for MBR haha It's time for u to confirm your sanitary items if u have not done so. At least for wc Can u really squeeze in wc, basin, shower screen in your MBR bathroom?

Woo.. slowly see sapphire owners up here Almost bought a 5 rm unit in may 08 if irc. Decide to give it up during the appointment day for some reasons. Now enjoying my stay in resale unit, otherwise will be still cracking brain now if having to wait for sapphire bto. Take your time to shortlist the contractor. This is very crucial and most importantly do your homework

Ohhh finally saw one with such feature wall We have that in mind and have sent a similar pic to the contractor that time. But he says too ex to do! We always like 3d effect feature wall but end up a flat one and he simply push all blame to "miscommunication" Nice feature wall u have! Actually balcony like kinda wastage. And can't put much furnishing right? Rain will come and that's it
-
Oic I did saw that in ikea, thought u have other lobang haha
-
The pace I think is partly due to doing overlaying wall tiles instead of hacking all which will take more time
-
We overlook on that and is too late. By right, that should be what a sensible contractor should do instead of using wood and waiting for owners to raise. ohh, my bedrooms are parquet. Retaining ex-owner's. Nowadays there are so much raves on laminate flooring and friends are giving thumb up haha

Very sleek feel Can I ask where you buy and how much is the office table?
-
Solid brick backing for your sink! Good job! Our contractor made as carpentry... Gotta be extra super duper careful to avoid water!! Sooner or later laminate will peel off sighh
-
Hmm I like your kitchen lighting The slanting downlights are unique Who inspire u with the idea?
-
See from your 3d design that u will be having WIW. Enough space?
-
Truly understand how you feel.. Guess that the reno is near completion now and nothing beats seeing your own home ready and all in shape
-
ya sure, will pm you
-
The shape is forming very fast you will be sitting on your sofa and admiring your hard work haha

Your walls shown in the floor plan are all in bold black, might not be able to hack, gotta check it out For mine, some walls are not shaded in black, so is quite clear cut. Think u just bought the unit and have not got keys ya keke.. Dun think have space for island There are pipes in the bathrooms, so do note during layout planning. Some very experience contractors know the pipe position even before going on site have fun planning
-
PM-ed oopps didnt realise the mail box is full after renotalk layout changed
-
Cool! Which floor you stay? Just got your key? You might want to reconsider having an island in the kitchen due to space constraint. Your planned layout for mbr is similar to mine in "eating up" the next bedroom keke Although the living room is not huge, it is still better to have a door for kitchen if plan to have aircon and open kitchen. Having a glass sliding door looks pretty nice fir open kitchen too

We guess no one has met such contractor. Ever wondered how is his attitude like? What has happened exactly is HE SHOUTED AT US NON STOP over the phone!! as in not giving us a chance to talk. He can say things like this in mandarin: "You two win liao, husband and wife gang up against me and say i tell u this what u want me to do!" Realising we are very persistent on this issue, he handed our case to his boss to settle with us. We are really furious about this. His attitude especially. While we thought an independent party gets to listen to us, WE ARE WRONG.Meeting his boss makes the situation worsen. Here are what the boss suggested: Issue 1: Console thickness He claims that he sees no problem with the bulky console and suggests us to bring our friends here to see. Rather irritated, we told him this is our house and we do not need other opinion and we know clearly what we want. Bottom line is very simple: He is trying to delay us, drag us, making us accept what it is Issue 2: Non protruding feature wall First we need to wait after CNY AND WE HAVE TO PAY FOR THE RECTIFICATIONS IE ALL COST INCLUDING LABOUR AND MATERIAL COST! This is what he suggests and one's jaw can really drop! What the boss has brought across is simply: THEY ARE NOT HOLDING ANY RESPONSIBILITIES. THIS IS CUSTOMER'S OWN PROBLEM. He contradicts himself when he concluded what has happended by one word: MISCOMMUICATION Yes? Miscommunication by BOTH his staff and the customer, BUT customer bears everything. The delay, the cost ....!! One thing to bring up is when we tell him that his staff has mentioned that the protruding effect is not visible in the 3D drawing, he smiled sarcastically and said that it is not possible and he wants to prove to us by suggesting to do another 3D drawing. This is definitely a waste of time and not solving the problem. In other words, implying that we are putting words in his staff mouth. THIS IS THE SERVICE RECOVERY ========================================================================================= We can only bang wall Ultimately, we manage to get our console rectified BUT not the feature wall.

woohoo, backz! Have not update for a long time Seems like renotalk is rather quiet too these couple of months Ha! Last ended with problem on our tv console. Here are more details on our feature wall. Side view of the feature wall for better illustration: While carpentry is still under progress at that time and laminates are up, we noticed something is amissed..... The black laminate circled in red where the tv will be placed caught our attention. According to our discussion with the contractor, the section should be protruding. The wooden part without laminate is for mirror installation which is installed later. We pondered and no matter how we figured, the end product is flat surface after the mirror is up. On the very night, we check with the contractor. To our astonishment, he denied flatly and insisted that there is no prior agreement and he is not informed about our requirement. We based on the fact that we have communicated this during 3d drawing. During the 2nd 3D design proposal, we have brought this up during the discussion. He has CONFIRMED that it IS PROTRUDING UP TO THE SIDE, but will not be able to tell from the 3D design. This issue really makes our blood pressure shoot up as the feature wall is the item that we emphasize the most in the whole house and cannot withstand any mistake. And worse is, the contractor is not taking any responsibility. We have shortlisted some design samples and emailed all to him during designing stage since he can't seems to come out with any nice design. And ALL the samples we provide him are with protuding effect. If it is so easy, i do not need a "design consultant" and just put wallpaper on one whole flat wall. But in the end, our feature wall also turn up to be a flat wall. What put us at disadvantage is the requirement is not documented. TIP: WRITE IN DETAILS BLACK AND WHITE NO MATTER HOW SIMPLE IT MAY SEEMS TO BE

wow, the house is pretty good condition think you can hang all your clothes and dun have to fold haha but it's kinda waste to dismantle the false ceiling many actually pay to do false ceiling
-
Luxurious stuff you've got!
-
waha it really feels great to have them out of the house. Glad for you too to settle down and your reno is superb fast

Like that is really down to DIY or just buy a ready-made console and put on the floor. Then what is the point of engaging him and paying few thousands for the whole feature wall, plus we have to top-up for the leather laminate
