Am definitely enjoying this blog, keep it up angleous666. 1st it makes me think twice about having an open concept kitchen. I need to consider getting cooking hob (hmmm.....hope it's not too exxx) and also i must know how to maintain the hob and clean it. 2nd, i like the first few post about things to look out for during renovations. By the way, how did u go about checking the grout, was it obvious when viewed from a standing point or do u actually have to squat and inspect the grout lines ? Am gonna have to do reno on my new place next year so am in the learning process, plus ID sourcing point right now.

Ahh...... and here, I was thinking maybe he knows the occupants' DOB by just knowing both owner's DOB. I've read some positive comments about his accuracy.

Funny, Master Chang never ask me for DOB for occupants staying in the house, only the owners, is this normal ?

Hi Ivy, can u PM me your list of good FSM ? I may need to do the audit for my new place once i've gotten the keys. Can someone share with me, if i need to audit a new house, should i engage a contractor first or should i wait for 1st audit before engaging a contractor ? My worry, if i engage a contractor first, then my new house will need to be redesigned extensively after having gone thru FS audit. Doing a major overhaul of my new place. Also i heard that there's several Master Chang, who is the correct one ? Can someone pls pm the contact number and email ?

I've heard from some forummers that ceramic tiles seems to last better than homogenous tiles. I've also seen that homogenous tiles may loose it's gloss over time and ceramic tiles stay almost the same say even after 10 years. Hence i am inclined to use ceramic tiles for my new home. However, i've heard that ceramic chip easier than homogenous tiles. As the occupants in my home esp my maid and children are prone to dropping their keys and toy-throwing, based on your experience have you ever come across any chipping on your ceramic or homogenous tiles after these incidences? My current tiles are marble and they seem to withstand these abuses pretty well but marble is exp.

I have a question on fixed glass panel. I intend to open my kitchen slightly (cos it's quite dark) by installing a half height fixed glass panel in my kitchen. Whats the pros and cons on doing so ? Would the glass shatter if the kitchen becomes too hot ? Also, i may need to install a kitchen door to separate kitchen from dining area, other than a glass door, is there any other types of doors which would be suitable to match the fixed glass panel ? I'm concerned about safety so i would prefer not to have a glass door if possible.
